If you mean the first 14 of a season, then only three teams have done it in AFL/VFL history. Collingwood in 1929 (& premiership), Essendon in 2000 (& premiership) and St Kilda in 2009 (?). Of these teams, the last (us) has the highest percentage after the 14 wins. So, it's the best ever first 14 games of any season ever. No doubt our usual negative posters on this board will claim that it's meaningless, that the teams we beat were robbed or some other rubbish, but I regard it as a magnificent achievement (so far) for our club and the group of players. Go Saints!

There have only been 17 streaks of 14 or more in AFL/VFL history.

This is how it stands ...

Geelong 23 1952-53
Brisbane 20 2001-02
Collingwood 20 1928-29
Essendon 20 2000
Melbourne 19 1955-56
Carlton 18 1995-96
Collingwood 17 1903-04
Essendon 16 1949-50
Essendon 16 1950-51
Carlton 15 1907-08
Essendon 15 1981
Geelong 15 2007
Geelong 15 2008
Collingwood 14 1953-54
Essendon 14 1911-12
Geelong 14 1937
StKilda 14 2009-??????

11 more wins takes us to a record of 25 and a flag !

It is interesting to note that of those 17 streaks of 14 or more all but 4 included a premiership (though that might drop to 3 if our run goes all the way).
