Just a reminder that tickets went on sale for the game against Hawthorn today - I wasn't able to get any reserved seating so it looks like all the visiting Saints will be in the GA area. Hopefully there is an area set aside for Saints fans at the match!

The club seems to have an area set aside. They sent an email to Tassie members last Friday to let us know we could get 1 ticket if we replied to them, with membership ID number.
Part of the email stated "To ensure we can book you in as quickly as possible, please quote your Member ID number (this can be found at the top of the email or on the back of your membership card). If you wish to sit with fellow members, please ensure you advise us at the time of booking and have all relevant Member IDs on hand."
I booked my ticket on Monday.

I've got no idea, the cut off date for Tassie members is, I believe July 10th.
I would think that the club would organise a large quantity of seats to offer non-Tassie members.

Does this happen with other interstate members in their home state?

Logged into today at 9am, with a slightly dodgy internet connection could only get Gen Admin.
Happy just to get tickets though, would have been a waste of $180 in flights otherwise.

quick question in case anyone knows, I usually by seating instead of using my membership, but that sold out so I rang up yesterday and ordered a ticket with my interstate membership.

does this entitle me to a seat or anything? or is the 'special area' standing room?

Just wondering cause my mates all have general admission tickets, so hopefully I'll just be able to wonder over and watch the game with them.

Not a problem, I'm even thinking of puting a roof on the wood-shed next year.
Accommodation is free but there is a $500 membership fee to join my wood-shed club.
I can arrange a seat for my northern island colleague for the game. If he doesn't mind sitting on a wooden crate in the wood-shed & listening to the radio he brings along.

Of Auroroa's 11,104 seats, 9,000 are available ONLY to Hawthorn, and it's 7,200 Tassie members- that leaves 1,800 seats for anyone willing to become a hawk member ????

is this how they have so many members?

no wonder they sold out within 20 min for the saints game

it took 2 hours for the North Game this week.

i was an interstate member at the start of the year (SA) and i got an email with the option of the crows game or the port game for my free ticket.
aami is all 99% seating and i chose the port game so no probs getting a seat
they put us with other saints fans (cheer squad bay)
there was a cut off date that actually ended a week or two b4 the round 1 game.....i got in with about 5 hrs to spare.
id guess at if u r an interstate member you would be able to get your one ticket to the game in your state ( + the 5 you get in melbs ) and surely u would be sitting ?

Back in the dim dark days when we had home games down here, I just used my membership to get general admission & stood on the hill near the scoreboard. My work social club organised seating for $22 but I'd rather stand with mates than sit with people from work, we had no option who we sat next to. Our social club couldn't get seats for this game either.
I'll probably use the seat for this game as it will be amongst fellow Sainters.

They're advertising memberships in the local paper for people to get seats for the game this weekend as well as our game.
Some people I know have bought memberships to get to all Hawthorn games down here. No wonder they have so many members.

It doesn't seem unreasonable for Tassie people to buy a membership of the club that is investing its efforts in Launceston. If people buy memberships because of that, and it subsequently increases the number of members they have, that provides a validation of Hawthorn's efforts there.
