Worse in 1997, Adelaide beat us in Rd 15 then again in the GF. So our last two Grand Finals have had previous results reoccur!!!

The tank comment was clearly (i thought) tongue in cheek.

I took stats from the past 7 years. And posted them on here.

And their was a trend on the 2 teams in the Grand Finals results.

Yes interesting but limited and in many cases misleading as it ignores other games played in the relevant year.

I mean we have won the last 12 game straight. Thereforefore based on that we will win every game this year.

Here's a thought, Geelong may not even play in the GF....

You mean we should have tanked against the Blues and the Dogs and the Lions, just to cover all our bases!

i read all the justifications why we should ahve won in 97, didn't add up to squat on the day.

every year is different, every circumstances are different, in the end you make your own luck.

St kilda have made their own luck in 09, by running hard, tackling hard, playing hard, working hard, and being fitter than almost any other side in the competition.

I dont know if we will win the flag in 09, but if we do, we did it because we did it, not because of stars, or luck, or what has happened when the stars aligned.
