GF Tickets - "if" we get there

what is the best way of getting grand final tickets if you're not a member

i'm from perth and booked cheap flights in march to melb thinking we might only be sitting around 6th or 7th this year

now with this start to the season i can't help getting somewhat excited

i wouldn;t want to come all the way to melb for that weekend then miss out on tickets if we make it. well even if we don't make it i'd still like to go to the game

can you get them if you're not a member? we don't particularly want to get one of those $1500 packages

Forgive me for being frank but you don't deserve to attend if you're not a member.

Social Club member get guaranteed access to Grand Final tickets. General members do not have such a privilege.

Non-members and standard members would need to purchase through the AFL Centre Square package ($1995) unless you had a corporate contact that could give you free/discounted seats.

Otherwise, you'd need to be a Full MCC Member, which I'm guessing you won't be if you're from WA.

you will need to spend at least $1,300 for a ticket with function from someone- many are already selling out- The saints had some going a feee weeks ago- BUT you ned to decide now Scottf@saints.com.au

or have AFL and or MCC membership

or win a competition

or PAY someone who shouldn't be selling them.

Try buying a ticket Grand Final Week? Close to impossible, and you are likely to be paying several hundred bucks anyway.


So the best way to get a GF ticket would be to become a social club member. Failing that, an ordinary club member and queue up before the game.

Failing that, become a West Coast club member and queue up for tickets in Perth.

possibly not all social club will be able to go

BUT the club is capping Social Club to 11,500 - ( not yet reached) so that all socail club members who WISH to take up the offer to buy tickets will be able to.

I took out membership in 2000 (I felt that the club needed me then more than ever!) When they sacked Blight I immediately upgraded to Social club...I have remained that way ever since (other than to buy reserved seating on level one) I am now what is known as a "foundation member" I am told that this will "guarantee me a GF ticket"....well I say to that "Bollocks! I'm a member of the Saint Kilda Footy club" was in 2000 will be till I cant draw breath!!!!! GF tix will take care of themselves!!!!

Hell of alot of fans live interstate and are full paid up members who don't get to go to games. Thats not the reason I become a member. I do it to support the club. Sorry to be harsh, but if you are only prepared to support the club on the last day in September do you deserve to be there!

I am pretty sure all SC members will get the opportunity to. I have only been a SC member for about 3 years, otherwise I have been a normal member since 1997.

Are you totally 100% sure on that? Im, not having a go but I wouldnt mind seeing that in writing from the Club..its my understanding the "Foundation" status has no official bearing now...all SC members are as one when it somes to GF tix..thats why the cap was put in place. The AFL have guaranteed at least 11,500 tix hence the cap of that number.
