I think the organisers need to put a "must have retired at least 5 years ago" clause on these teams. Its a great cause, but the last couple of years have lost a bit of spark as the teams seem full of blokes who only retired 1-2 years ago and in a lot of cases are still running around in lower grades playing pretty decent footy. What you then end up with is a game of low-contact keepings off, with the comedy value coming from the celeb players like Hamish and Andy (who I thought came across as a pair of tools last year..which was a pity cos they arent)

Always have thought Dermott was a hoot at this game. Competitive juices and ego always got in the way of common sense..and a torn hammy was the end result
