Which Saints recruit will have the most impact in 2005?
Decided to bring in a weekly poll to the site, which you can vote for here and on the homepage at www.saintsational.com
If there's a question you would like to see in next week's poll just send a PM to me and I'll pick one each week.
On the poll, Ackland for me - all the reports and the way he's been training suggests this guy could be a sleeping giant who's just woken up!

I cast my vote for Cain Ackland, I was very impressed with his ruck work and general play in the intra club game, he looks like a fantastic pick up
Mitsuharu Misawa 1962 - 2009.

Granted it was only an intra club match but it reinforced what I already thought, Ackland and Fiora will be fantastic pick ups for the club. I can't split those two
That said all the newbies did something to like on Friday night.
With the depth to our list at the minute Springvale must be rubbing their hands together

Has to be Ackland at this stage, but Fiora was very impressive and McGough will be handy.
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Yep. On first impressions - Acland looks the goods whilst Fiora will be a great pick-up. Acland gets my vote.
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

I voted for McGough.
Seems to been forgotten again a little now,but im sure thats what he would be after. He should be able to knuckle down and cement a spot for himself and delivering the ball into the forwards...Looking forward to seeing him in action in a saints guernsey.

Ackland
I saw enough of Ackland in the intraclub game to know this guy is a ready made league footballer . If he stays fit he will add another dimension to the Saints releasing Kosi and making tough matchups even tougher for opposition .
Go Sainters !!!!!

After watching last nites game it was obvious that as soon as Ackland went off and GT brought Stone into the Ruck was when Hawthorn began their run on. Ackland also in my opinion beat the best tap ruckman in the league last night. It is for these reasons that i think the Big Axe will have the most influence out of all the new guys in 05.

While I wont comment on the effectiveness of Stone, you are drawing a long bow by suggesting this was the reason the game turned. Most of the prime movers were off at the same time. Also, other factors contributed to us letting down our guard which seems to be covered pretty well by all and sundry.twaq wrote:
