First 12 Rounds Highlights Video

Post: # 759720Post The_Goose31 »

Hi, I finished my tribute to the first half of the season last night and thought I'd share it all with you. It has footage from all the games thus far, with a collection of highlights such as goals, marks, tackles etc set to "Tick Tick Boom"- The Hives.

GO SAINTS!!

Watch:

Download:

Note: The watch version has a 30 second intro before the video starts to make sure it stays on YouTube. So please don't be discouraged by the random compilation of clips at the start...the video will begin 30 seconds after that ;)

Outstanding effort.

That scoop down crumb gather by Milne to end that passage of play that started in the back pocket is a stand out for mine. Such fitting icing on a fine, fine cake.

Here's hoping you are compiling a similarly themed flick come end of September.

Fantastic video! I was interested with the West Coast St Kilda clips - I never saw any of that match and it was so bright, for a minute I thought it was at Subiaco. Wish I had've gone, that would've been incredible!

Great video though - some awesome highlights in there and well edited!

Have you thought about offering your services to the Club to put together motivational clips?

I reckon they'd take one look at what you've done so far and jump at the chance!!

As I said when I posted the video YouTube has a strong tendency to delete copyrighted material (such as music, afl clips) and by putting the 30 second intro at the start its supposed to fool the copyright sensors they have so it doesn't get deleted. I don't really like the idea of an intro but if it keeps the videos online than I will continue to do it.

I actually was in contact with the club for awhile about doing that but I haven't really heard from them since. I am looking into work experience in this field atm for a week or so, so will probably contact them again soon- with this video included in my portfolio.

Thanks again :)

really good. hope you pursue a career in video production.

only addition i reckon would be good is to add a few plays where you can hear the commentary and crowd go ballistic.. like the background music drops and you hear some commentator screaming MILNE MILNE FROM the boundary! Absorbs you in the play more, if ya know what i mean.

but seriously nice skills mate.

That was brilliant.

The team singing the song at the end there, who was that against?

Its from last week against Carlton ;) I chose that one because I loved how pumped up the boys were...as well as Milney's "yeah" :P

I toyed with that a bit while making it but I felt it didn't work with that song...just my own opinion. I definately would LOVE to do that in a video at some point because, I agree, it adds to the atmosphere of the video ;)

Fan - bloody - tastic!!!!! :D :D

I have done my highlights package too - it is about 28.5 hours long and takes 12 DVD's.

Have converted yours to an 8cm DVD - and will carry it with me - it will fit on a credit card DVD so I might have to get a few of thm and keep it in my wallet!

How did you get all of the clips from Fox Sports, Ten, Seven, etc on to your computer in the first place? This is something I've always been curious about when I watch YouTube clips.
