For those struggling to renew - a sideline membership $55.00 counts towards the membership numbers (and the full $55.00 is a donation to the club). We have access to medallion club seats but still renew our membership each year.

Go Sainters.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the sideliner counts towards the official figures....

Great to see the figures rising, go saints!

to my knowledge sideline DOES NOT Count as it only has one game attached- it is a donatiojn

the new 3 game membership DOES count- at $75
http://www.saints.com.au/adult%203%20ga ... fault.aspx
not on regular form- need to speak to membership or add it to the bottom
Adult 3 Game
3 Game Membership - $75

Think you will not get to as many games as you used to be able to go to but you still want to see the Saints every opportunity you get? The 3 Game package is ideal as you get General Admission entry into ANY three (3) St Kilda Home Games for 2009. You are also a registered member of the Club and receive all 2009 Member Benefits including the 2009 Membership Pack.

• 2009 Membership Card which admits to three (3) Home games of your choice (subject to capacity)
• Access to purchase finals tickets in weeks 1-3 in matches which St Kilda is competing
(please note that the 3 Game package does not offer you the right to purchase a Grand Final ticket,
you must be a Full Adult 11/16 game member with Social club)
• St Kilda Membership Kit
• Automatic inclusion in the Saints Recognition Program
• Access to The Age offer.

out of interest ( although I am actually really pleased the saints have gotten to where they are But would love to see us doing better...)

current listed membership numbers ( many say as at May)
Lions under 26,000
Blues Under 42,000
Pies under 45,000
Bombers under 42,000 ( surprising?)
Cats under 37,000
Hawks over 52,000
Demons just over 31,000
Roos under 30,000
Port under 29,000
Tigers under 37,000
Bulldogs under 27,000

Saints 31,500 + about 500 ahead of Demons on published numbers.

Just as well we finished fourth last year and have won the first ten this year otherwise we would be in real trouble. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, we need a real spruiker.

The main problem is that the two sides weve been on a par with membership-wise over the years, Hawthorn and Geelong, have wonthe last 2 flags and therefore roared ahead of us.

If the Roo's membership is only 1000 less than ours how come they get 10-15,000 less to a game than us? Sounds dodgy to me.

Carlton and Richmond have traditionally had much stronger memberships than us..the last few years were an abberation due to their lack of success but are now well ahead of us due to pre-season anticipation selling loads of memberships.

I rang the membership department to ask that specific question before I joined up again. They said it was included.

Interesting, wonder if that is the case for all the clubs figures then...

Well it makes sense - a $55.00 membership with no games attached must be better as a straight donation than $75.00 with 3 attached. Do the 3 games cost us any money to the stadiums or the AFL?I just went with the $55.00 as we already have seats (My son is a squadron member as well) He gets his ticket and ALL the team coach St Kilda cards framed each year since 2006

I am pretty sure that clubs have different ways of counting memberships, I think we changed ours this year so as not to include 3 game and those types.

Hawthorn counts everything, including the flees in jeff kennets dog

I love footy

then i get to see some games

A ticket at the gabba is $50, this way i get 3 for $85 so instead of a once off of $50 i can see 3 games. I dont like the Lions and i dont like supporting them but that is all i can do to watch some live footy as we are starved up here

Official number as per office today is = 31,761.
Creaping up nicely - the record number is just over 32,000 so if we reach that, can't complain.

Good on you matrixcutter.

As for a spruiker , I would be absolutly positive that Warney doing some ads would be a positive thing and I reckon he would if he was asked . He loves the Saints.

Saints Membership ,, Yeah Yeah !!!

Go Sainters.
Apologies for stating opposite Sainter_dad
on checking you are correct and Saints Sideline DOES count to the saints Numbers

obviously the AFL have relaxed the number of games regulation they used to stick to

but it is still only 11 game opr 16 game- as FULL membership that is eligible to get Social club and G/F access.

That's OK. Do you think we'll exceed the 32,000 figure - I think we will now.
