Ins - Max McEvoy and Milne...

Post: # 750399Post saint08 »

Outs, gardiner, Raph and Gwilt

that's how i see it .

Max to the back line to replace raph.

B: Max , Blake (on Hale) and Ray
HB: Gilbert, Fisher , Baker

Milne to replace gwilt.

Time to get close to our best 22, and test out that 22 in the next 3 games prior to geelong - with gardiner in for mcEvoy the only change ( barring any suspension or injury)

As I have previously posted in another thread, our selectors dislike making changes. They have to replace Gardiner, but I cant see them making three changes this week. Probably Gram will go, as he has yet to serve his penance.

What do you mean he is yet to serve his penance. He missed a week for missing a rehab session. I reckon he has served it. He is very much a required player.

Dont like your bench. Blake playing there and FB. Dawson provides no flexibility. Tall key position players do not play on the bench apart from ruckmen.

Not sure. i think we have to see milne back in and max back in. They are in our best 22. Whilst minimal changes have been made, I just cant see thm leave these two guys out. Ross has said on TV that max will be back before the bye, and surely milne must come in.

Cant see Blake as Full Back & interchange

Personally I reckon McEvoy for Gardiner will be it. Milney will have one more weeks rest for the knee

Obviously MG and it will either be Raph or Jimmy if Milney is fit.

Not this week. Upsets the backline to much. He will have to wait his turn. But you could easily be right. It is all guess work.

our backline conceded four points in the second half last week, so i don't know who else you drop. but who knows. perhaps gilbert's injury will be rested up.

Milne and Max in. Kosi and Blake to share ruck duties with King. Who will be omitted beside Gardiner is anyones guess. As I have previously suggested, it may be Gram. Although dropped he was reprieved to replace Milne. If hard-headed enough, the selectors may feel he has yet to serve his penance.

He has missed a week already and was back in the side last week. We will play 2 ruckman as I think we have all year. We arent going to upset the balance just to get Max back in.

that might leave us without a second key forward for some of the match, which i hate.

ross said recently the club's preferred option is two dedicated ruckmen and two dedicated key forwards. i hope he sticks to that.

It is pretty weird to have so many available, and not fun to drop anyone when wer are doing well, but if milne is a top forward , i think gwilt is out, and if max is a top back, , then I think raph is out

Out: Gardiner, Gwilt

In: McEvoy, Milne

Emergencies: Gwilt/Goose, Eddy, Armitage

Another possibility is the use of Blake instead of McEvoy as 2nd ruck, allowing Goose to come in to the back line.

Intriguing!

i simililarly think that Max will need to wait for a bit longer - and when/if he does come in it will be for Zac.

He will... every interview he talks about the two dedicated ruckmen being key to a flag. ottens and king, lade and brogan, jolly and ball etc

Doesn't mean that he has to choose two rucks for EVERY game.

Another possibility is putting Blake into 2nd ruck and bringing Goose back in. Thus effectively Goose/Blake/Raph will be playing off for 2 Tall spots down back.

or playing kosi as second ruck and goose at chf. that is a possibility, too, i guess.
