Thanks for the score zebraman.
How did the Saints boys go?
Re: Sandy V Bendigo
They all did pretty well...it was a pretty average game to be honest....McGarry was good again...McGrath controlled the ruck even though Bendigo cleared quite a few times from it....Cahill took a couple of nice marks....Howard was in everything...Choo Choo did what he does best...scouted the packs and got a couple of very nice goalsMr Magic wrote:Ah Bayside - beautiful one day, perfect the next!zebraman wrote: Got here at 9.45 am...Thick fog....1/2 way through the match...it lifts and the sun is shining.....last 1/4 the fog rolls in again...now with a few minutes to go for the start of the main match the sun is out again..

1/4 time
Sandy 4.3.27 lead Bendigo 0.0.0
Goal kickers...sautner 2, heyne 1, Gallagher 1
Fog is coming then going
Dempster has had a couple of touches and is moving freely...Hudghton and Maguire doing well in defence...Max even drifted up forward and for a fleeting moment I thought he was going to have a shot on goal...he ended up passing to Tommy Lynch...
McEvoy winning the rucks and is marking well around the ground...Begley has ahad a few touchhes as has Armutage and Eddy...
So far so goo....
Scott Lucas is playing for Bendigo and looks decidedly uninterested

Ull have to ask zebra man for the stats,
Stanley kicked a nice goal from 50m 60deg angle
Fish nice goal on run
Whose fault was that Bendigo behind.
Defence means not letting the opposition score.
I want that player dropped to the Sandy Reserves next week.

Saw the first half.
Noone setting the world on fire except Sautner and he can't play for us.
Max the most likely. Big Mac okay, Stanley doing most of the ruck work (he will be a player). Goose ordinary, a long way off senior selection.
Armo undisciplined. Lynch will be good probably next year. Steven a long way off as well.

Any chance Rhys Stanley in for Gardiner instead of McEvoy?
Too small body wise probably but you wonder if they are trying to make McEvoy more of a forward than a ruck considering Stanley seems to be getting 1st rucking duties.....?

Watched till 3/4 time.
Goose did a few good things.
Looked very solid.
Bit hard to critique Max as the ball hardly came down there.

or give goose a run as a mobile second ruck (a possibility that ross has mentioned).Any chance Rhys Stanley in for Gardiner instead of McEvoy?
it will be interesting to see who replaces gardiner (assuming he'll be rubbed out for two weeks).
i'd say stanley's unlikely as we tend to be pretty conservative in these things and he still needs to bulk up a bit. but he's very impressive.
once again we are spoilt for choices.
Lets get fair dinkum. Rhys is going to be a player but isnt going top play ahead of a guy who has been emergency for about 6 weeks and Goose will never play as aruckman again in the AFL. We haveabout 5 ruckman why use him.bigcarl wrote:starsign wrote:or give goose a run as a mobile second ruck (a possibility that ross has mentioned).Any chance Rhys Stanley in for Gardiner instead of McEvoy?
