Has played in a team who has 9 wins and a % or 183 out of nine played.

Well done Jimmy. Getting better all the time.

The weakest player in the 22 and has been all year IMO.

He brings some skills to the table, but does not apply them consistently enough. He makes errors each week and does not do enough good things to make up for them IMO.
Is trying to play like Hamill but does not have nearly enough presence or pressure.
He doesn't command the ball from his team-mates.

With players with abilities such as Gram, Hudghton, Maguire and Armitage playing well in the VFL, there is far too much quality for Gwilt to stay in the side.

Started strong but tapered as the game went on. The story of his last few weeks.

He was not on his own today. He should not be keeping Goose out...

Tries hard and has improved somewhat, but really not having the impact a third tall should. Time to give Lynch a go.

Goose isn't as mobile as Gwilt.

Goose wasn't named in the VFL best today.

Stick with Gwilt...

Actually Gwilt is not very mobile at all.

Have you watched him try to turn around? He struggles big time at ground level, and has the turning circle of a truck.

His mobility is a myth. Kosi is equally as mobile.

Bakes had an absolute shocker.......that can happen....his lack of agility was a concern however.....

Gwilt however, plays as a 3rd fwd.......averages a goal every 3 games.....and every game his opponents sag off him.....and I would suggest he has been beaten by his opponents weekly.......he has the turning circle of a super maxi.....the intensity of Chris Gayle

Goose should be in the side, no question

Wasn't at all impressed with Raphs game either, lets the ball hang way too long in the air, also gave away his quota of goals to the opposition...

Thought gram was a bit stiff to be dropped since he's leading the competition for inside 50s. I thought we missed his dash and daring today.

So I'd bring him back in for either gwilt or mcqualter.

Blake struggled a bit today too. Maybe either Gwilt or Blake for Maxy but we'll have to wait and see. I've changed my mind and feel that Gram should come straight in as well...but not for Raph as he is certainly in our best 22

dumbest argument i have ever heard in regards to why a player should keep his spot. Yes, at times he does some things that either a) arent crap or b) very good, but more so than not he is a waste as a target and god forbid the balls comes at his feet.

We have been steamrolling most of the opposition this year, but when it is close and the pressure is on it is easier to assess the players performance. Gwilt made some poor decisions today when the heat was on (as did others). He is picked primarily because of his defensive pressure, but today he looked out his depth and appeared to panic in his decision making.

He is the classic confidence player, and today it was missing. If he is dropped then that could affect his confidence levels, I would persist with him for another game as I think that dropping him could do him more harm than good without a chance to redeem himself.

We must start rewarding the guys pushing for spots. GWILT has been serviceable but we need goals from him eg change for GOOSE or LYNCH.

First seven games were excellent. Did his job, had a role.

Last two games have been poor. Needs to return to earlier form to justify his spot, but may be running out of time.

Hasn't been effective enough as a third forward in recent weeks.

However, hard to make unforced changes to a 9-0 side.

Wasn't an argument Einstein. The OP asked for comments on J Gwilt not on whether he should keep his spot or not. I have posted on that question in the appropriate thread.
