St Kilda vs Geelong - MCG or Docklands.....your call.....

Surely it is a no brainer. If the club want it at the G we must go along with their wishes. Big deal if the seats are not as good for one week. As people have said on here they buy a membership and never see a game. It is a donation. Surely you can donate your good seat for an average seat for one game.

Nup what its really about is winning the flag IMHO and four points may be here nor there come the last day in SeptemberTriColourDisciple wrote:Whilst l can see the benefits of us having a run at the MCG, l think we a more of a chance of getting the four points at the Docklands (l refuse to call it that new ridiculous name) and after all, That's what it's all about really, The four points.
We need all the help we can get and take every opportunity available towards that elusive goal
A big match at the G in front of what should be a huge crowd must only help in preparation for finals games there Especially as we play there only once (Round22 v the Demons)
So its a no brainer and the G for me !

You think a 2 goal win at the MCG with a packed stadium isnt as good as an 8 goal win at the docklands. Surely you are joking. By the way why would we beat them by 8 at the docklands but only 2 at the G or even lose there. Geelong play every ground well and we need to play the MCG well.skeptic wrote:Docklands
An 8 goal win at the docklands hurts them more then a 2 goal win or an honorable loss at the G
Yep! Much softer surface than Docklands.gazrat wrote:the g .....ffs
IT"S not hard
I vote the MCG.. You don't win Grand Finals at Docklands.
(I wish it was our home ground, considering the buggering we get from Collo at Etihad))

i think on GF day, they'd be more nervous knowing that we took them apart rather than fell over the line, the location would be irrelevant.plugger66 wrote:You think a 2 goal win at the MCG with a packed stadium isnt as good as an 8 goal win at the docklands. By the way, i guess u'd think we'd be perform just as well at Aurora stadium than the dome too???
it's called a home ground advantage because we play better at home
I'd rather beat them now and get the 4pts on the board

just curious, would they put aside an area for our social club members? Also will we have a function room for after the game.
would love the idea of another game at the MCG but can understand it if people don't like the idea of giving up their reserved seats.

Not as silly as it sounds....benengel14 wrote:I like this.bigred wrote:move it to the cattery and give us the gate.....
It would still be our home game......reserved seat holders get their seats, flog off the other seats at a premium, not too many Cats fans in......would seem like a "home" game for us still, and we'd make $600K profit!
...slight issue is that 50,000 people would be locked out
