Someone forgot to send the team list to AFL HQ.
Everyone will be already on their way to Adelaide including the guy who sends the team in.
If you know someone in the club admin, give them a call and remind them.

he may as well name him at FF and keep them and us guessing!
Just an aside on Eddy and his umpire caused injury sideline ...we should have thet many (4+) weeks he missed as credits in case one of our blokes infringes an ump in future!!! be a fair thing I recon

I suppose this means Gwilt and BJ alternating in playing inside the forward 50.
I'm sure Lyon contemplated bringing Begley in at the back and moving Gilbert or Fisher further up the ground. But that would have been less like "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
I guess the consensus at the club is that X isn't quite ready.
One thing we know with Eddy is that he will give a 100 per cent effort over 4 quarters. I'm not that impressed with his skills, but maybe we have enough of those to go on with in the other 21 players.

IMO X was the worst, but he had no real preparation...StPeter wrote:I can't believe they have selected Eddy ahead of X.
Lyon must see something he hasn't shown us on the field yet.
Our worst player in last years finals series.
Eddy has been mentioned as an emergency for the last 3 games and if he was not injured by that umpire in the NAB series, I feel he would have been in our starting 22 in round 1

Eddy has been brought in simply for pressure, he is one of the best runners and tacklers in the team and Ross has said if you want to get in/ stay in the team you have to apply pressure and tackle, tackle, tackle.
It is this attitude that has kept Geary in the side and he is begining to repay the faith with an improved offensive output.
Ross is building a team around his philosophy of relentless pressure and quick rebounds and from the results thus far I'm backing him 100%.
IMO the Clarke brothers simply aren't going to play a great deal in our future. They've got enough talent to be walkup starters but their bodies just can't let them have a fair go.

starsign wrote:Eddy definitely selected with the forcast weather conditions in mind
Where had he been playing during the Nab Cup , predominantly on the wing or generally through the midfield or halfback even anyone?
Plus with that in mind Eddy is 5kg heavier...and suppliesa bigger body than X.
Anyway Eddy is a worthy in.....and we area ina good position of having several worthy players that we could have brought in = true depth.
Workrate has beena clear Lyon focus since Dal and Milne where dropped...and Eddy is a very hard worker.
Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....
