Easy explanation. This site was full of so called 'supporters" bagging the hell out of RL , our 'dreadful' draft pick record, and at least half of our team players, all of whom are proving very valuable at the moment.,

There is really not much to discuss. We are first on the ladder, 2nd highest scoring and we have least scored against us.
Even the most sceptic should think we are travelling ok .
Maybe the membership problem deserves debate and the booing by some supporters (and whether they should be delisted from the membership).
And when we are all bored there is always GT.
Otherwise all any of us want is the Saints to keep delivering as they are now ... we cannot ask for more ... and there is not much more to say about it as action speaks louder than words.

Exactly the way I'm feeling.sainter2631 wrote:Is it just me or is everyone finding it hard to be excited at our excellent start because we expect dissapointment? Thats how I see it anway. I cant be truly happy about being 4 and 0 because I fear that eventually they will let us down.
Whenever we're good I start to look ahead to September and how I'm going to be feeling when they eventually let us down.
A good St Kilda side represents heartbreak.
That's the way it's been for as long as I can remember.

I think a lot of people are waiting and trying to figure out how good we really are.
While pleased with wins against Sydney and Adelaide, and percentage boosts from West Coast and Fremantle only the true believers and the righteous are going be get really excited already. While most of us would have been content with 3-1 after 4 rounds, Sydney and Adelaide are teams we've got pretty decent records against, and we played the Western fodder at the Dome.
I'd expect that post round 6, having played Port (one of our bogey sides) in their park, and more importantly the Bulldogs, who finished above us last year, there will be a lot more discussion around.
2 losses: The naysayers will be out in force. The vibe will be as if we were 0-6. The TAB is taking bets on who will start the first "sack Lyon" thread
2 Wins: The difficulty will be keeping the lid on. I have no picture what this site looks like when everyone's that happy, but everyone's going to be pretty happy.
Split: We'll have a better picture of our weaknesses, which will make for some lively arguments, as we'll also have proven ourselves against another opponent whose had a good start.

5 prelims in 7 years. 40 wins from 49 games.
2009 and 2010 were 2 of the 5 best years ever by the St.Kilda FC.
Thanks for all your efforts Saints.

All part of the new forum conditioning team's strategy to make sure we're still arguing at the end of September. No more falling over in prelims for this forum.

is it just me or are the number of posts on the forum well down?
