Sandy up 59 to 52 at 3 qtr time.
Begley still playing well.
Armo had some touches late in the qtr.
Goose continuing to get better.
Stanley had a purple patch for about 5 minutes - he's very raw - makes Big Mac look like a seasoned veteran!
Lynch still presenting well.
Eljay had some nice minutes at the end of teh qtr.
Begley still playing well.

Goose continuing to get better.

it's cramp on x
ran very well through the middle and was unlucky not to get the ball back to kick for goal
saints players starting to get into the game in that last 10 mins of the third
sheesh stanley is bloody impressive. Good skills and knows where to go for a first year ruckman! I can see both he and macca controlling the rucks in 3 years time
armo slowly worked into it
goose was good
not a great day for the forwards but lynch is a very smart footballer. Anyone know how hard he works off the ball because he works into space very very well. Stood up well when sautner went down.
LJ did a couple of things and improved as the quarter went on.
heyne's kicking is CJ like IMO

ABC are in teh Zebras huddle during the break.
Interesting to hear Lovell's thoughts
Made mention of the need to change the tempo - not to go hard all the time.
Gave compliments to Eljay's efforts.
X was prominent at teh front of teh pack - didn't look like he had any injury, so maybe it was just cramp?
He started the last qtr on the ball.

Why would you not expect that from an 18yo standing in front of someone......he would have played over 100 games of footy....
I realise your bringing him up because I have potted him....well, I will tell you this....
Sweeney won Casey's goal kicking twice....after I said he was NO good after watching him a few times....and SOL had plenty of pleasure telling me this.....then he was delisted...
Heyne will be delisted in two years IMO.....has some tools....not much substance.....but thats my opinion

I have high hopes for our future ruck combo. McEvoy has been very good, gets back and marks very strongly. Has had quite a few disposals.
And Stanley although hasn't had a heap of it, its very agile and quick for his height. He tackles very well for a big man as well.
And for everyone talking about X not being able to tackle or put pressure on, they are kidding themselves. He has tackled very well and been in and under a lot. Good player.
Maguire getting better, and begley has been good.

I raised it becasue it looked fantastic and the commentators on teh TV obviously thought it was good to as they made mention of it.
agree on all thisBigMart wrote:The little he did......Stanley was the biggest positive for me.....he shows a bit....
McEvoy was VG
Maguire is almost there, he is starting to adjust to the tempo of match footy.......
of the players who could step in next week and do a job (midfield/ruck)
mcenvoy

goose is about 2-4 weeks away but getting close.
LJ needs to learn to gain some composure, he kicks to quckly
lynch and stanley are developing very very well. lynch will debut this year and is a smart all round footballer. Good team player as well.
Look it was a poor match but we got out of it with no injuries, development of a few players and some run in the legs of our next 5 players outside the senior side.

He's running freelymatrixcutter wrote:good reports peeps.
how did goose actually look, were they contested marks?, did he get free? did he get a good run off the back line? play a FB role? go forward? is he at a reasonable pace? etc etc.
whats he looking like guys?
He's contesting strongly
He's jumping well
He's playing VFL against not much opposition
He just looks like he needs match fitness.
