I was wondering why it took so long for a thread on this to start?
Sheahan claims his list is based on what he expects the players to do this season.
I find Ball to be the really interesting one.
For Judd he specifically mentions that because he's had a great, uninterrupted pre-season he is expecting big things from him.
Well why not the same thoughts on Luke Ball?
I find it puzzling that given Ball's final season prior to OP (the same affliction that 'cruelly afflicted' Judd) was nothing short of brilliant.
My guess is he's forgotten how good Luke Ball was?
But then again, the Top 50 it is only Mike's opinion.

It's subjective, and only a matter of oppinion.
But Riewoldt is better then Fevola,
Sam Mitchell is better then Dale Morris.
And a player like Nathan Foley is probably better then the likes of Birchall, and has done far more then Bryce Gibbs and Jarred McVeigh im not convinced on at all.

Te trouble on here is that when a list like this is published..if less than 40% of the players arent St Kilda ppl have a sook..cos weve won the last 4 flags of course
Just for the record IMHO, Dale Thomas I think is actually a better player than Leigh Montagna right now....there, lynch me cos I put a Collingwood player in front of a St Kilda one..heresy

i know its a top50.. but wouldn't all the all-australians from last years 22 be the top 22 for this year? we finished 4th and sam fisher was our best and fairest, yet he didn't make the top20 :S
