Just about as good as side as we will get all year. Only Max, Rooy and one or two others missing.

Armitage? What's the problem with him?

Can't wait to see how Bakes goes. Best of luck to him.

Also to Lenny and Kosi after minor setbacks in the past few weeks.

From saints.com.au:

"With Robert Harvey gone, there are some chances for younger blokes to step up. How is David Armitage looking?
He was going really well. He played 14 games last year and the finals. It’s going to be an important year for him. We feel he is in really good shape but he just nicked a hammy last week so it’s frustrating for him. He’s really done his apprenticeship well and when I say that – he prepares well and trains hard. You can see that consistency come through in his footy. He is a talented ball-winner and a good kick. We’re looking to him to play in the midfield. It’s been a natural progression and we expect he will be in our best 22."

Will the game be moved to the morning due to the heat?

Lance or James??

C: Ray, Dal Santo, Steven
HF: Heyne, Koschitzke, Gram
F: Milne, McEvoy, Connors

Foll: Gardiner, Geary, Baker

Why not Dawson. He is more likely to play than either Miles, Conners or Heyne.

With a Friday forecast of 38 degrees, the Saints and Bulldogs have named 30-man squads and Koschitzke, Hayes, Baker and Xavier Clarke will play 60 to 70 per cent of the match
http://saints.com.au/fanzone/supporterg ... fault.aspx

Raphael played in the Carrara game so why the query?

Dawson only a rookie so why would he be preffered ahead of the draftees.

What has that got to do with anything. So is Miles. I think Dawson may play in the first game so they will need to look at him.

my question remains why would they choose him?
I am asking the question plugger66- just wondering-
I have yet to see Jarryd placed on LTI- although the assumption would be that he will be--
the practice by the club has been to only do that if there is someone who can fill a role...... are you suggesting there is a role that Zac will have?

I'm all for giving all the rookies and fringe players a go in this comp.

On the Jaryd Allen issue. I wouldn't put him on the LTI list unless someone is ready/needed to step up into the senior side. The next couple of weeks is the perfect opportunity for some of these guys. Lets wait and see how much they want it !!

Exactly..as soon as we elevate someone he's on full senior match payments. Would be nice if he played seniors and earned them eh?
Whats the point of having one extra senior list paid player running around for Sandy?

Umm may I ask again..anyone know why Schneider has not played yet?

Schneider's abscence needs explaining.

Can someone shed some light please??

As for the weather, according to Paul Higgins (the ABC TV weather man), the change on Friday is expected between 5 and 6pm, so the heat may not (if we are lucky) be a factor for at least some of the match.

EDIT: Why can't Choo Choo play?

He's the one I'm most interested in seeing play, as I missed the intra club game...

good squad, the youngsters have some eperience and muscle around them this time which might help them show their skills a little bit more.
