Goddard - officially our second best player?

Definitely has the most raw talent of anyone on the list. Roo is still the best because of his athleticism, but BJ has definitely established himself as second best (with Chips a clear third)

as mentioned in another post...when the players were asked who they thought would star this year rooey just kept repeating goddard.

Its a big call Sam, but I for one will not disagree with you.

Like most on here, when BJ picks up the footy I know he will do something good with it. His ball use and decision making are top class.

I get where your coming from, we don't have to purely limit his credentials to being a good footballer....because there are many more

They may have been average on Sat night - but since we made the PF in 08 and the others are average the conclusion is that both of these two must be totally superior to anyone who has ever played the game ......

I just want to remain on record as i have been the past 4 years. A MASSIVE BJ fan. I took the piss out of him early in his career for his loving of pointing his finger in the air (it was a funny habit)

But let the record show - i reckon he is awesome. genuine all round excellent afl player. current id rank him #2 on our list. But i certainly see a time when he will be our # 1 player.

tough, skilled, athletic, smart, fit. i see him almost cross between a pav and a nathan buckley type (clearly BJ would need to score more goals to be likened to pav).

but i see him in the midfield with the ability to be thrown forward as a pinch hitter. darn good player BJ.
