Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

IMO there's nothing worse than being in a DT or SC league with three good teams and a bunch of no hopers. Competition is part of the fun.esaint66 wrote:saintDal wrote:Reckon you'll get a few 0's with that team ralphy.
I agree on some terms yet i'm in your league so i better keep my mouth shut
So even though I'm in the same league as Ralphy, I'll offer this advice: nuke that team and start again. Nat's injured and should miss significant time. Hill, Sidebottom and Beams are no guarantees to play. Trengove and Riley Milne probably won't play. Last I heard, Watts was focusing on year 12 for this year.
It's generally best to avoid first year players. Focus on 2nd and 3rd year guys who are finally going to get a crack, guys who are stepping into a bigger role, and veterans who are under priced for whatever reason. It's impossible to start with a team full of superstars. You can only get a handful of stars, so be very careful with who you pick.
If you really want to have a crack at putting together a good team, I'd recommend reading the following sites:

BigFooty DT and SC boards

I'd also recommend memorising the AFL Prospectus or, failing that, at least signing up for the Fantasy Freako's newsletter. You need all the help you can get in these games to avoid zeroes and unearth those lesser-known hidden gems.
Best of luck.
Yeah nah pleasing positive
