Gee mate, I pass on that

I know it has something to do with footy but I only just follow cricket.

Dont get me wrong, but you just don't get too many arguments at work when talking cricket at work, it’s too one sided ?

Richie had KM as 12th man. Chuck left him out completely.

The first time Alex Jesaulenko coached the Saints resulted in a draw against Richmond at the MCG.

Who was the Saint who took what should have been the match saving mark late in the game and then played on with a handball that resulted in the goal that tied the scores?

and who kicked most goals for the saints that day?

This is just a guess....

Trevor Barker (handball)

Barry Breen (most goals)

Not correct but the handball was a player of similar vintage and skill to Barks.

Goal kicker is far more obscure. He came from another club where he had been mooted as the "next big thing" but had bad knees. This was by far the best game he ever played for us.

OK...

Jeff Dunne (handball)

Mark Scott (most goals)

Better player than Jeff Dunne, captained Victoria.

More obscure than Mark Scott (!). I'm fairly sure this guy captained Richmond U 19s when they were winning everything.

The handball must be Gary Sidebottom, can't remember any other 80's Saint captaining the Big V.

As for the most goals, I'm stumped!

I think Sidey would've played for W.A. in state matches.

I think they bent the rules somewhat to allow VFL players to don the Big V, I'm sure I read somewhere that stars like Glenndinning and Hudson lined up for the Big V though they weren't Vic by birth.
Pretty sure Sidey did play for Vic, too.

OK, my last guess....

Gary Colling (handball)

Ian Sartori (most goals)

The handballer was one of the youngest to ever play for the Saints.

Exactly B,W and R!!! One of the last games he played for us unfortunately.

The forward was Dean Herbert but that was just too obscure I guess.

Your turn.

hmmm, I know I'm out of turn here and forgive me if this has already been asked but I have a nice simple question for you's

When and against who did Nick Riewoldt debut... AND what were the TWO most notable things about that game???

It was Round 15 2001 against Adelaide

1 notable thing was I think it was Jason Cripps first game back in ages and he kicked the first goal and he ended up with the most possessions for the saints 28

and maybe Damien Ryans last game for the saints.

It was Malcolm Blights last game as coach, crippa made his comeback after 3 years out of the game and we lost by 97 points.
Riewoldt and Chris Oliver both debuted as well.
