We are working on the possibility of just adding a line of text under the existing banner

Deciding on a new banner just seemed to go on forever at the start of 08 and our sponsored players ended up not being mentioned at all

That would be a disappointing result, it looks pretty awful IMO... especially because I use the white forum layout, the logo sticks out like dogs balls...

It is time to bring this issue back IMO...

With saintsational sponsoring 4 players this year, I would like our banner changed to show our support for those players and recognise the efforts this forum has put in to this achievement.

There is an issue with just what posters board style is preferred and I feel that is our major stumbling block on this issue...

I really have not seen another forum being so accommodating on what style they prefer (maybe I'm wrong) but again this seems to be the major problem of this issue not moving forward...

I believe most posters that have contributed to the player sponsorship would like to see the recognition of their contributions on this site by way of the banner reflecting that...

I wonder if Battye can do something on this issue??

To me, it would be a shame not to have this issue resolved.

the lowering of the players so that the AFL logo is good and does not infringe on the AFL at all...

but, it still has to please posters that have a different board style...

Totally agree Fid and we will attempt again to have the banner changed if it doesnt result in weeks of squabbling about which design to use, followed by weeks of grizzling when we choose one

Will also help that we have a "tech" admin person who spends some time here now

Seeing this forum has a number of "Board Styles" maybe Battye can accommodate them with different banners....

This would result in less squabbling

I was sort of hoping that someone can do a detailed training report this Wednesday and maybe that could be the first one to make the front page.

The only thing is I am just wondering what the club would think about it?

The front page will be released once we get 3 articles. That was always the intention, so far we've only received 1 article.

I know the admin spend their time on here and of course are not getting paid to do this, but I would like to see a new banner recognizing that this site is sponsoring four players.

Sadly the sponsorship of our last years players was not mentioned at all in our banner.

Gee, one would think just adding their names would have done in 2008, but no, just nothing at all.

I like the player portraits... should say "Sponsoring xxxxx xxxxx" or a list like St Fid's, to clarify the connection for site newcomers and casual readers.
