I've been to most of them since the early 80's.
Can be quite informative and/or amusing and/or emotional.

Who could ever forget the momentous one after the decision to leave Moorabbin and Bongo copped a very warm reception !

I've booked some leave in mid January so I'm hoping it will be Feb.

The trend these days is too keep it pretty much business.
No players.

But then again we now have a new President this year.
Though given his profile he may not attend.

I think they need to get all the statutory info (notice of meeting, financials etc) out to members 21 or 28 days prior to the meeting. Seeing that there is no-one at the club until 5 Jan, it would be mid Jan at the earliest that they would be able to get this info out to the members.

My guess would be that the AGM will be late Feb or early Mar. The venue will be an interesting one. In recent years it has been at that place on South Rd Moorabbin. Prior to that it was always held in the Moorabbin Town Hall !!

Well whenever it is, it should be a ripper.

All the people who have vented their spleens here and are ready to rip the Club a newie on a variety of issues will of course get out from behind the anonymity of their keyboards and look the Board in the eye with their concerns in person..afer all its their right as a member!!!

I look forward to Ben Cousins, Seaford, L2 Reserved seating and a host of other complaints being raised live and in person by the very people who bang on about them endlessly on here :-)

Maybe my Missus will give me a lift.

The lid is off after Round 2! Enjoy the journey, coz you just don't know where we'll end up. Live for today and seize the moment.

Why would anyone bother?

The days of supporters being listened to are well and truly over. The AGM is basically a waste of time.

Spot on.

The Q&A's at AGM are basically an excuse to brush away the people on the floor as ignorant idiots.

"Next question."

Still, I'll be there, always am. Maybe Nexus will get up again?

...and there in a nutshell is the attitude that reallly shytes me to tears about some people on here

No-one is saying that the Club is perfect, probably even the CLub themselves. So when the Club puts processes in place for those grievances to be aired, be it an AGM, an online Forum with the CEO or whatever, what do some people do? Still hide behind their computers like a bunch of keyboard warriors and grizzle "Oh whats the point they never listen" Well you DONT KNOW THAT COS YOU HAVENT ASKED!!!!!!!. The reply might be offhand, flippinat, whatever, but at least youve had the guts to stand up and ask it..and you have proof that you are not getting answers.

Some posters here HAVE taken their complaints up with the Club directly and more power to them. They are qualified to feel aggrevied or whatever, theyve taken the time to speak directly with the cause of the problem.

The rest of you? Pffft..safer just to throw grenades from your safe lil online bunker where no-one relevant can answer you or God forbid disagree with you

Bunch of invertebrates

I agree. Back in the old days they always did what you asked them you to do. Cannot beleive how things have changed these days. RF you have certainly picked a trend.

This is just bulls*** Mick and you know it. Look at the way loyal supporters have been treated by the passionless suit Fraser and the club when queried about the $125 extortion.

St.Fid has outlined the dismissive and mocking reply he got from the club over this issue and others have got the same message which is -

Piss off you scum pay up of F*** off.

I have also been to AGM's and have seen how supporters are treated with ridicule and distain by both the board and how the mob of "club can do nothing wrong" acyolyte drones howl down any dissenting voices.

I will never go to the farce known as the AGM ever again.

I will not contact the club and voice my concerns - I will save my breath because they only listen to money and nothing else.

You reckon I am spineless? Well mabye so. But us jelly fish will vote ewith our feet and withdraw our finances - the only thing that the leeches and parasites at the "franchise" understand.

Will it disadvantage the club? Probably not - plenty of mindless drones willing to be farked over by the club and their appeal to our "passion" (ironic considering the suits dont have any at all for the club) and cough up.

But have a look at our membership. It is going South at a rapid rate. I miss out on some cheap DVD of Harvey and a sweat shop hat and scarf

Too bad. Had enough of these spivs and shisters running the club and ripping of real supporters with extortion.

They can rot in hell and I spend about $400 on other things that was earmarked to St.Kilda Football club. Multiply that by the 5000 or so members we will be down from our peak even allowing for only $200 a member and the club is down $1 mill.

Yes all us spineless supporters aren't worth it are we. Not worth keeping and not worth cultivating. Just like South Melbourne and Fitzroy supporters who fell away.

Oh well.

I guess the positive is, that with people as easy to suck in as you, the club will probably keep some cash coming in.

And here we have one of the drones and a LIAR. Some internet hero who thinks thay are a better supporter than anyone else because they dont critisise the spives and shisters who are running the club.

Lol must be nice to live life as a drone.
