It is Lindsay Fox it was given to him after John Moran of Moran furniture who passed away a few years ago....onlooker wrote:I am pretty sure you are right - Lindsay Foxn1ck wrote:I thought it was Lindsay Fox.
How much would a No 1 ticketholder put into the club each year
Our best is yet
to come......
to come......
Lindsay has stated that does not put any dollars in, and I understand that is correct , but I am also told that this is not unusual. Some clubs have No .1s who put dollars in from their own pocket, some are ceremonial and others host functions and get others to put money in. Lindsay to date is ceremonial.
i would rather someone who would put in dollars ....

To me, Eric Bana, Molly or Geoff Ogilvy would be far better #1's.
Travel the world but still publicly mention their love for the Saints whenever possible

grant Thomas has always been our No. 1 and will continue in that vein.
God bless him.
Go Saints
I think you're confusing #1 ticket holder with #1 who has tickets on himself.
The lid is off after Round 2! Enjoy the journey, coz you just don't know where we'll end up. Live for today and seize the moment.

I think some are confusing No. 1 Ticketholder with Sposnsor in relation to 'tipping in money'.
My understanding of #1 Ticketholder is that it is either normally a 'high profile oerson' (someone who is publicly visible in their support of the Club) or a 'stalwart' of the Club (being rewarded for his/her long term support).
If Lindsay Fox is 'tipping in money' for Carlton it would be purely a business decision - his trucking/logistics company would see a benefit from financially supporting them.
I reckon the Club should form a group of 'Saints Ambassadors' who would be 'high profile people' that are happy and proud to be associated with the CLub. People like the already mentiones:-
Shane Warne
Molly Meldrum
Eric Bana
Geoff Ogilvy
Michael Klim (already has a role at the Club)
Lillian Frank
who all are constantly in the media and could/would/should give us positive publicity.
On another note, every night here in Melbourne between 1000 and 1500 people are watching a blatant plug for teh St kilda FC by attending Shane Warne the Musical. It's a pity that some 'old sponsors' are deriving the benefits along with us!

forgoing anything else- Lillian backs her Saints and tells many about it- she is a regular supporter of activities and game day events, she puts her money where her faith is.WayneJudson42 wrote: Oh no, please... not Lillian...
