stoked with a Plasma?

Made me think - most people get LCD's nowadays.

Do you prefer Plasma to LCD for footy watching?

Just a question.....
  very embarassed it is an LCD!! I think all the hysteria has got me a little cookoo!! Yes, i agree the LCD is better for sport watchers as the picture is sharper and is able to handle the fast moving camera speeds!

Go saints in '09!

Just a question.....

I have a 40" LCD (Sony Bravia full HD). While the motionflow aspect has helped LCD's with refresh rates it still does not match quality Plasmas have for footy motion. The larger the screen the bigger the difference.

Sony LCD's are nearly on a par with Plasma for blacks and are generally better than the cheaper LCD brands. The tip for LCD's for sport is to lower the backlight effect.

Plasma does need a darker room though to avoid the reflection of light to make the most of the HD motion advantage.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency
