Doesn't it normally happen on Family Day?

I agree with Tom
Asked what player number he might have, Lynch smiled and replied it would definitely be at the high end of the locker room.

That prompted one journalist to joke that he might receive No.35 - worn by newly-retired club legend Robert Harvey.

"I think they should retire that number," Lynch then said, without much humour in his voice at all.
atleast for now....

I don't really understand the concept of moving this player to that number, etc...

Why not just keep the number they were given to start with?

is there a thought that once a player's had a number for ??? years then that's theirs and they like to stick with it?

many used to start with high number s and it was only as lower- or even loer than 10 or maybe 15 became available did they change.

Only players above 35 need to get relocated, anything below that is an alright number.

Love to see Jack get 35, but maybe not for a few years.

Armo to 4 or 9. :) (Even though that completely contradicts me saying only numbers above 35 need to be relocated.

dont they after 100 games get their name on their locker ?? so i doubt any off the big names will change numbers and run the risk of having their name on two lockers !!!

Allen wears 36 doesn't he ? If they Rookie list Howard, he would keep his number

Yeah sorry, I always get mixed around with Allen and Steven, so it would be Begley to 34 and if we re-rookie Howard and he gets first dibs on 30 then Cahill can go to another number...

It doesn't matter, with all the delistings and retirements - it's hard to keep track

Khan wears 46, so Begley can't have the number he wore at the Lions

The only regular senior player, that might want to upgrade to a lower number could be Jones
