nope. i bought a polo from the club, and on the arms it has UD trucks...and its not a coaches one.Bernard Shakey wrote:Anything with UD Trucks is only coaching staff.
Seems Archie thinks he knows a bit about the game. I think not.
but if this is what the new polo looks like i dont even want to know what the new clash jumper will look like
"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."
Seems to me that it has a lot of white in it. I think that's ok, but for people like me who can spill things on their shirts sometimes, it gets a lot of stains. Last year's mainly white shirts stained soon after I got them!
But... as far as a shirt goes... I don't mind this at all.
It's hard to come up with something completely new when you think - well, it's got to be three colors... there are only four options really: white dominant, red dominant, black dominant, or a mixture. We went with black dominant in shirts for a long time, so I suppose they are trying some more white. Tis ok with me.
Go Saints! It's great to see training shots, and the boys getting back into it. It's this time of the year when we - the fans -don't see much that premierships are won. The fitness, conditioning, skill improvement, weight training, etc. That's what gets you there at the end of the year. Go boys!

Not a fan of the white sleeves, would prefer black. And it's a shame that Jeldwen are so uptight about their logo having to be blue. Surely it wouldn't be such a big deal for it to be white so it doesn't have to have a white block behind it? (It could be their clash logo. )saintbrat wrote:Here's Jack in the version for those who are more confortable Not flaunting the Ab's just yet

I'm aware of that, and it pretty much proves my point. The red polos (pre-season) originally came out with white Jeldwen logos and they requested they be remade with blue logos. But then all the black jackets, polos etc had white Jeldwen logos, and only the white ones had blue logos... Seems they can't make up their minds.saintdooley wrote:its white on the back of the home jumperst_nick wrote:Not a fan of the white sleeves, would prefer black. It looks like cheap rubbish to me - though I probably need to see it in full before judging.
However, sub-standard this is what happens when you split from the major apparel suppliers, though. You look at the other clubs - particuarly with Nike, Puma and Adidas - and it just looks far more classy.
A friend of mine has an Essendon media polo from about 2005; it's sensational. The type of thing you'd happilly wear out to the pub. I wouldn't wear ours to do the gardening...
We haven't improved our products one iota since splitting with Puma. For a while, we were using the cheap synthetic mesh they use on cheap, $10 rip-off football kits. Concept Sports were notorious for using that crap.
I have a feeling we actually stopped using that awful material this past season and stepped into the 21st century. But even then, our polos for the past few years have looked cheap, tacky and unprofessional.

more new gear up on the saint shop site- this one seems to come a a couple of variations black or white.
I noted that in a comparison of compression clothing the brand the saints use- 2XU is rated as the best although also the most expensive.
