No Selhurst Saint - it wasn't in 1991.
We did have some good wins during 1991 though.
R7 was adelaide by 131 points. We followed up with brisbane by 69 and then sydney by a goal in R9. However we then went down to essenscum by 28 points.
A total of 206 which is good for a 3 game streak!!
Then in R11 we commenced a streak of 4 in a row with the best result being 35 points over the kangapoos in R12.
A total of 107 points here.
We had another good streak that commenced in R21. We beat caaarlton by 54, then adelaide by 51. In R23 we thrashed the bears by 120 points and then beat sydney by 39 to end the H&A.
A total of 264 points makes it the 10th best points streak by my reckoning.
1991 was the year that geelong won the elimination final and ended our race.

seems like it is a hard Q....
or maybe people are more focussed on Christmas and other things.
another clue...
The 383 points streak stood for many years until 2004 when the 500 points streak replaced it as the best successive winning points margin.
The 383 points streak was comprised of six games (so an average of 60 plus points win each game ....hmmm might be a high margin score in there somewhere).
Hope this might be useful.
Another clue soon if its too hard.

Yes, well done again.
I think that would have to be our best ever half of football (as measured by the scoreboard).
How many supporters at the game would have thought at 1/2 time that we would go in with a 7 point lead and win by more than 100?
Even the most optimistic would have struggled with that thought.
Your go.

What combination of letters were used on the scoreboard and in the record to denote 1/4, 1/2 & 3/4 scores in the old VFL??
Should be 6 combinations
Also the combinations mostly remained the same for specific grounds - can anyone match the letters to the grounds??
Arden Street -
VFL Park -
Junction Oval -
Victoria Park -
Windy Hill -
MCG -
Western Oval -
Kardinia Park -
Moorabbin -
Princes Park -
Lakeside Oval -

Given that 32 was a long way off....
and that we have had a few in recent times...
Maybe we had a lot in the early days when success was not common and trying players out was not such a big deal (ie no contracts, $ etc).
That sounds like a fair theory.
Therefore, I'll have another guess of 90.
