Did you catch the Saints today giving the Packers a reaming on Monday Night Football?

McAllister broke the career TD record for the Saints in what might be his last game (ironically for you JB he might be suspended under the NFL's drug code this week)

I can assume Carrol is all but ruled out also then.
Once again, some are assuming that NC is a done deal like BC.

NC is what, 28? As a defender could play for 5 years.

I'm not discounting BC's potential impact, but recruiting NC would help our defence and free up some runners into the midfield.

And a handy back up if Max goes down. Different player, different role.

Will be picked up in the PSD. BC may have cost us a draft pick in what everyone so often reminded us is the last "uncompromised" draft.

Big picture... big picture.

Wont you look stupid if we make the finals next year in a good position without the help of BC and you can't get tickets.

Good to see JB chill out a bit, enjoyed your second post, don't agree with everything, but it was a lot more logical and had good ponts.

But as someone, and I said earlier, why do we worship the individual, why do we think an individual will win us a premiership.

Hell we all thought Lockett would win us one, or Barks, even this year we were hoping they'd do it for Harvey.

One player does not win a premiership, a team does.

I for one would fully support the board if they returned all the individual trophies at Moorabbin to the individuals and just left the team trphies in the trophy case.

There are probably numerous reasons why they made their decision not to take BC. More than likely the risks far out weighed the benefits.

As I said previously, if BC came, relapsed and it was found he had dragged a couple of our up coming players into that seedy world, it would be a disaster the club may never recover from.
messiah complex yet again, plugger_66 pointed this out and was shot down for it...few backed him/her up and look what has happened now

big benny c was the messiah......

What a gun this player taken with pick 90 something is gonna be, honestly why bother, just go with a smaller list for the season.

everyone that was involved in this farce should hang their heads in shame if only they had the best interests for the club in mind i prey for a new board at the club one that has some balls and will make the right choices for the playing group.

LACK OF LEADERSHIP.
we did send out the wrong messages a bit didn't we.
NO, we did not! We said we were interested and did our homwork.

If someone can show me where the club made a concrete commitment to recruit him, I'll retract and apologise.
Semantics WJ. 14 other clubs have ruled themselves out, we admitted that we had 5 different meetings..... QED......

I've just started at a new job in a junior position and there's been a tough decision needing to be made for the last 5 days..... I didn't make it as I felt that I didn't have the authority to do it - a few other more senior parties passively letting it go....... I can see WEAK LEADERSHIP when I see it.... and this is it.......

Who do we blame for this? A strong leader will come out and own this......

Ross? Nick? Greg?..... they should be the leaders of this club....

Archie? Good on him for being the media boy, but hey, he isn't a fair dinkum leader of the club.

lol, why not?

One thing following the NFL, issues like Ben I take with a grain of salt.

The NFL's policy on such things makes far more sense but I guess that comes with having a decent players union.

the key to our success is finally breaking free the players that have had to play back for so long - gram, fish and bj...this year we were given a hint of what is to come

plenty of times gram and bj were easily beaten in defence and offered bugger all in it...we developed an idea of them actually being decent defenders due to their kicking and occassional dash...they are attacking players...not defensive

having carroll down back could be a good thing...he is a natural defender despite being a natural twat...but lets hope he can change his ways

i would give him more than a half chance of actually succeeding if he took the third tall every week, maybe even second, max and or goose take the first, dempster comes in to account...then we have carroll who would become a handy back pocketier for us...

faith people...

picks 60,70 & 80 or what ever we have will be just as hopeless yet poor old pick 90 cops it up the arze

going on our first round picks in the past few yrs would poor old 90 be any worse than them
