3) It's often hot/quite warm in Brisbane, with sweet FA to do in leisure time other than drinking heavily.JeffDunne wrote:2) The AFL don't want Ben Cousins in Brisbane.
Look at the press today that other sports are yet again receiving in Brisbane and you'll understand why. The AFL are the cleanskins in SEQ and the AFL would like it to stay that way.
(Point 3 comes from 2 years experience living there vs. living in Melbourne for 30+ years!).
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Is Benny still good mates with Gardy?saintsRrising wrote:But that is the thing.markp wrote:No club will take him against his will.
Ben mainly just wants to play AFL...
He may, or may not prefer us,........but if the Lions did take him he would be playing AFL again...and that is by the reports of those that know him what he badly wants to do.
I assume Gardy is down the straight and narrow now - something that will help Benny continue his "new" life......big picture stuff I mean if he ONLY wants to play for St Kilda.

I don't have that problem so it might say more about you than it does Brisbane.saintspremiers wrote:3) It's often hot/quite warm in Brisbane, with sweet FA to do in leisure time other than drinking heavily.

As much as it hurts to admit it . 3 prelims in 5 years and no grand finals is pathetic .
I'd rather have 3 flags since 2000 any day .
I've said this before , but 1 of the big problems with this great club in the last 40 years has been the attitude " close enough is good enough ."
I was there when we won the 1 and only big one . Yoy quite obviously were'nt.
Oce again . . . Make sure your brain ( ? ) is awake before you open your big , uninformed gob !!

they dont need a strategy. all they have to do is call out his registration number on drafty days. easy.Ice Wolf wrote:No Voss just seems really pig headed and probably kept pestering Cousins till he would give him a meeting. The Brisbane strategy with this doesn't seem very well thought out.undecided wrote:do you think BC has only recently contacted MV b/c he has doubts on our board decision????
if he gets out to past 50 in the draft. someone will take him. probably lions. but maybe, just maybe someone else.
I don't know when you lived up here saintspremiers but these days we are only 40 minutes from both coasts & most of us are no longer alcoholicssaintspremiers wrote: 3) It's often hot/quite warm in Brisbane, with sweet FA to do in leisure time other than drinking heavily.
