I went down early, got there at 10, complete with a book to read. Much to my surprise, the gates were open and I strolled right in. Walked out with $100 worth of gear, all from the match day tent. Three of the black shirts with a white and red stripe ($5 each), a hoodie ($65) and the true score, a warm-up jacket with 25 marked on the label and collar ($20). Plus I got one of those member's backpacks for free and bought $10 worth of raffle tickets.

I wish there was a chance for interstate/international people to bid on something online... just to give us a chance to get something!
Does anyone know if everything sold out? Would the club shop have anything left?
I didn't have a chance to get anything; never heard from anyone.
Pity.

5 prelims in 7 years. 40 wins from 49 games.
2009 and 2010 were 2 of the 5 best years ever by the St.Kilda FC.
Thanks for all your efforts Saints.

I don't know if everything sold out (doubt it, there was quite a bit of stuff, but then I was in and out early) but there are player run-out tops on the Saints auction page at the moment: http://www.aflauctions.com.au/saints.htmmarkinUSA wrote:I wish there was a chance for interstate/international people to bid on something online... just to give us a chance to get something!

That also has the bonus of having every player available, I did not see a single 35, 12, 7 and I'm not sure how many other numbers available today.

sorry mark. i didnt go on this page this morning, but if i did i would of got something for you.
if you were looking for a rugby jumper there wasnt any there...they had the home and clash jumpers, jackets, shorts, socks, pants and polo's. i think that was all the good stuff.
i got there right on 11 and the only thing i wanted was the red 2008 polo and the black training jumper...i found out that they only have size S in both, what would of fit me 10 years ago but not now
all i ended up getting was socks and some home shorts.

I got there at about 10.55 and headed over to the match worn table. No big names left, only numbers like 42, 29, 36, 46 etc. I was a bit shattered, especially being on the hunt for the great #14 for LennyBoy
But i did get some luck..saw a bloke trying on about 4 guernseys and one happened to be 44 and i thought bummer..but then he put it back and i swooped. Also picked up the shorts, a bargain at $5.

they were from a few years ago. there was a lot of stuff from previous years seeing as they're emptying the place what with the stand coming down soon. got one myself on ebay recently, there's a seller who has them regularly. i can get the name if anyone is interested.saint edward wrote:Did anyone pick up one of those 60's replica woollen jumpers??
I was going to pick one up, but by the time i got round to it they were fresh out. Strange because i never remember them being in stock during the year :S
was pretty disappointed they opened the gates early, thought that was unfair. got there right on 11 and already some items had sold out or were close to it.

Happy with what we got, by consideirng the adevrtisment I thought the abunadance of gear would be at the standard of last years.
It definitely wasn't - struggled to even get numbered jumpers.
The early opening was a slap in the face considering my folks come from man hour away - something advertised as a proper sale is certainly not organised like one.
Bargins - shorts and socks.
