we had something like 18 or 19. but gave 5 or so to Essendon.

We had a bout 4 regulars not show up. so hopefully this time we get about 25.

There is a nice oval off stud road near Rowville..

Alternatively there are a few ovals in an area in Albert Park, I am playing mixed netball tonight so can check them out for pitches.....but this option is certainly my prefered.

Not overly convenient for me but Carlton does have quite a few ovals in and around Princess Park I believe.

Albert Park would be ideal.

Rowville = Not a chance.

Albert Park & the Carlton area would be the most central to all.

We really should check out Royal Park Oval in Carlton - just before the State Netball and Hockey Centre. Is Arden Street an option?

Poochy 1 2 3 4 and 5 should be reinstated!

What's public access like with Arden street? a) can anyone walk in there and b) can you park there lol.

If yes to both then I would vote for it.

Arden st is very good.
last time i was there i just walked straight in off the main road (no fence stopping me) and there was a pretty good size car park, probably could fit 50 cars, plus the side street next to it where you can park anywhere.

dees numbers up to about 22-23...

too many regulars missing, and too many new faces, to comment on quality, but I hope it will be a competetive outfit...

looking forward to locking in a venue...

gosch's is a much better oval, and easier to get to...but both ovals are 100 x better then glenferrie so im happy either way :D

as pointed out by Sainter69, Arden St is used for district cricket and has a turf wicket.

Not an option guys.

the waters are getting murkier... :?

let's hope HD reports tomorrow that gosch's paddock is available...

we will be happy to play you guys anywhere...

we played talkingcarlton this month on a rugby/soccer ground...

but gosch's paddock is a proven venue with no turf wicket, so let's wait to hear from HD...

rollo

I heard Liam Pickering on SEN yesterday saying that Nth Melb cricket club had been booted out of Arden St by the footy club.

Also, has HD recovered yet   ?

diverted to arden street on my way to melbourne this evening...

lovely surface, goal posts, good parking, centre circle, not a cricket wicket in sight, close to public transport, perfect...

over to you, HD...

rollo

If Gosch's is available, its perfect, otherwise it sounds like Arden St from Rollo's write up...

My northern island colleague gets people to pay him to drive him around during the week. Has he conned somebody to play for him?
