I'm talking Armo up for 09. Haven't in previous years when others were but I feel that after three pre-seasons it is really time for him to really consolidate a spot in the side. We've all just seen Marc Murphy become an A grade player in his third season, no doubt he was a higher rated youngster and plays a bigger role at Carlton than Armitage at St Kilda, however if Armitage can have a similar sort of improvement and can play a role each week that's going a long way.Armoooo wrote:Is '09 the year of Armo? if not I swear I'm going to change my username

And importantly, he provides some grunt which we really missed this year (especially when Ball was out), his skills aren't the best but they aren't bad, he can kick a goal and he can get the hard ball... Come on Armo, do us proud!!SaintBot wrote:I'm talking Armo up for 09. I know this will sound really, really weird (and not in tune with my usual way of thinking)...but I think for a player who isn't performing, the last think you need is a stupid haircut/facial hair to draw attention to yourself. There were a number of new faces in St Kilda singlets at the first training session, including former Bulldog Farren Ray who was traded to the Saints in October, former Magpie Sam Iles and delisted Demon Nathan Carroll who was barely recognisable with a clean-shaven face and buzz haircut.
Matt Maguire, Luke Ball and Steven Baker all trained with the main group after suffering injury-riddled seasons, while Brad Howard is still training with the club despite being delisted last Friday.
If you're a running freak like Chance Bateman, you can do what you want. But if you're struggling and you want to look like a lair, it's ridiculous and creates unnecessary pressure.
If Carroll came back and started performing well and behaving, and wanted to express himself in that way, then sure - no problem - but until then, it's not a good look.
Gavin Mitchell's red boots - unforgivable.
I have a similar scar. I call it a calf muscle, but scar sounds better.SaintBot wrote:That's one HUGE scar running down his leg.
Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

I don't know who else it could be that would tower over Gardiner, King and McEvoy, making them look like midfielders?
http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/ ... 42,00.htmlOther new faces yesterday were delisted Collingwood defender Sam Iles, Irishman Niall McKeever, who trained with Richmond last week, and 208cm ruckman Blake McGrath, a former national junior basketballer who won a rising star nomination in Sydney's AFL competition.
