Whilst he looks strange, the Carlton development set up and youth academy thing sounds pretty impressive.

Do we have anyone doing this role with the rumoured Elshaug move to assistant coach?

the dilemma :(

you hear the name, you read the name- you follow the link

and he's not in RWB :(

I really wish he'd taken the kids to America for three months
would it be easier to handle in that time.

:? Doesn't help when Ratten drags him into every conversation as his best pick up in the trade/ draft/ offseason

and the you wonder- what did we do wrong, why - all over again...... the mind says right decision for him and maybe the club, but heart's still saying TOO soon :():)(

Crawling back?
He will return to the club on a white steed, we owe him so much there is no way he should even ask to return. When he is ready he can just walk through the doors and take whatever job he wants...

Onya Harves and good luck with it.

Was the smart and logical move to go to another club - for a while.

Looks like that polo is burning a hole in your heart - we understand.

See you in a couple of years Coach!

I think it has always been the right thing for a club champ go to another for the experience and return at a later date....but to Carlton? the only thing you can learn from that club is how to cheat, not the right environment for one of the most honest blokes in the league.
He is probably there out of curiosity..to try and fathom the mindset of a club that had no problems in throwing games, something totally alien to Banger.

Either way he would have been better off going to any other club.

Why don't you wankers grow up and learn to live life?

Robert Harvey has given us 21 years of dedication and great moments and you dump on him because he retires from playing and takes the next step in his life, which at the moment doesn't include St Kilda Football Club.

You are all a disgrace to the Saints and Robert Harvey.

What does our one and only premiership coach mean to this club?
He went on to coach multiple premierships at Hawthorn.

If this is what St Kilda's supposed most rabid supporters think of our most revered player, I have great doubts about the future of the club.

There is a looming recession, unemployment is on the rise.

Harvs has got a job for 2009.

Good on him I say!

Just grow up kiddies, there is more to life than despairing about Robert Harvey gaining coaching experience at Carlton.

They have won a few more premierships than us after all.
