Cousins Rumour ..3AW !!

There was a rumour on the 3AW rumour file this morning suggesting that Ben Cousins was a signed saint and that it would be publicly announced later this week after the club "got rid of some more garbage".

Please don't flame me over this. I am only posting what I heard on the radio. Also, if you do the adding up this rumour cannot possibly be true because the AFL Commission have to give Cousins the All Clear before he can enter any arrangement with any club and they don't meet until 17 November !!

I do actually think he's a signed Saint PENDING AFL approval though.

Pardon my ignorance... but haven't the 1st and 2nd delisting deadlines gone now... so how could we get rid of more people? This is a genuine question, I really can't understand all these different drafts and deadlines.

Could be seen as political. I don't think we have the clout to bully the AFL, and such strategies could be seen as that !!

I think the documentary cousins has yet to release, will be released at a time near the AFL Commissions meeting. It will ensure Cousins has the media's full support, and thats all he needs,

Two problems with this rumor that would prohibt the saints signing him at this stage.

1. Cousins hasn't been approved to play by the afl yet

2. We have to draft him and someone might draft him before us that cannot be ensure until draft day otherwise it is draft tampering.

Therefore rumor is BS and is not actually possible.

He may announce that his prefered club is the saints thou.

However maybe the rumour relates to Cousins (Nixon) having reached agreement to terms IF Cousins does play with the Saints (ie that both your valid points occur).

I actually had a dream last night that I was watching the Saints train ( sad I know) and Cousins was there running around in #9. So it must be true. My dreams are never wrong.
