Good but tough decision by the club.

As a supporter, I'm happy with our list management in this pre season thus far, now the next challenge is to fill the spaces with some talent!

9 spots up for grabs taking into account we already have Ray.

What and how many picks do we have in the draft?

Does this almost certainly mean we will participate in pre season draft with 9 spots to effectively fill on our senior list?

Not meaning to be unkind, but I knew we were gone against the hawks when I saw Fizz warming up.....

Just thought I would share a funny text message from a Richmond supporter mate of mine...in response to my text "Saints delist Aaron Fiora"

He wrote,

"he was no good at Richmond. Not sure what the Saints were thinking. Maybe you could plan your next consulting job to be a review of the AFL recruitment philosophies based on women's observations that 'men don't change' and neither to footballers"

Amazing what being de listed can do for your profile

Show some compassion.

Finally it looks like they're getting tough!
Some compassion to who?

Ive always thaught Fizz was a decent player (but not a stand out) and have defended him against others at times. I find it annoying that people who bag players all of a sudden change their tune as soon as the player is de listed.

Some consistancy would be nice.

You would rather we kicked a man whilst he is down?

Glad to see that the club is getting back to a 'non tolerance of mediocrity' policy.

Fiora, Capuano... two peas in a pod.

Aaron Fiora's misfortune is someone's elses good luck.
Leigh Fisher can now breathe easier - he has survived this round of cuts.
However the club still can delist players after the main national draft, before nominations for the pre season draft.
I could not see either of these players playing in St Kilda' next premiership team.

X Clarke contract only renewed for only one year - this means he is on a final warning to get his body right and play to his ability or he will not see any more years at the saints.

He had his moments. Some of his play was actually quite good.

Good luck to him on his future endeavours. I tihnk he's till got a bit to offer to another club and wish him every success in doing so.

I disliked Fiora as a player.
But never had anything against him as a bloke.
Was always ready to have a chat when i saw him.

Therefore all the best for the future Aaron, just glad it's not playing for us.

We got 62 games out of Fiora which compares favourably with the 69 that the Dockers got out of Heath Black when they were swapped 4 years ago. Lets hope that he gets recruited by a surveying firm in need of a good tripod.

Bullshyte!

Black is million times better than Fiora.......it's about quality not quantity.

But to your second point, you seem to have a firm grip on that issue!!!

Amen to that -
Firstly he was a better footballer than I will ever be; and
Secondly he was a Sainter

Thats enough for me!!!!

Good luck Aaron in everything you do from now on (with the rider that if you play for another club - may you have stinkers against the Saints)
