Rattlin' my tin..

Post: # 668866Post TriColourDisciple »

l'm sure the collective thoughts from fellow SS's will help me overcome my (almost) day to day dilemma. l have worn my heart on my sleeve, as far as the Saints are concerned, for longer than l care to remember. l have fended off taunts & jeering from opposition supporters, throughout my School years & into my working years, of scandals, failures, sackings, etc. with a sharp response (that's usually prepared earlier) that would both defend the Saints & insult their team, to which they'd be stumped & have nothing to come back with...until now. My Dilemma?.... With Harveys quickfire departure from St.kilda to Carlton (his Saints jumper was still warm as he slipped on a Blues polo!) which has left me somewhat disillusioned, has also left me with nothing!... no quick-witted comebacks, clever return-fire...Nothing! What do you say? What can you say?, to the Contstant "Couldn't get outta the place fast enough/ wants a premiership & knows he'll get one with us"- type daily comments from Carlton fans at work, within the extended family & down the street. (l'm from a small town) l'm at a loss this time & feel un-armed & defenceless. Can you guys supply me with some kind of 'ammo'?, something?..anything? Pleeeaaase...

If it is to Blues fans

they hate that we got Hamill and we have Goddard

That will shut them up pretty quickly, BJ is a happy saint

Just tuck a few brown paper bags around their desk/house with "Sticks", "SOS", "Braddles" etc written on the front.

He's building a relationship with Murphy, Gibbs and Kreuzer so that when he comes back to us they will want to come also.

Just tell them for the same reason SOS is at St Kilda, but since you mention it, thanks for Goddard and Hamill wasn't half bad either!

Just remind them that two of their last 3 CEO's are convicted felons.

They've been that hopeless for so long someone had to come from a successful club to teach them how to play.
