im sure noone really cares about what captain over-rated smiley pants has to say...kosifantutti23 wrote:So Brad Johnson thinks Farren Ray is a gun and Fiora's a dud. Good to get an unbiased opinion.
I'm sure he thinks Shane Birss, Anthony Darcy and Jack Frost are superstars.
maybe his legacy to the league will be that he was once a good dream-team scorer

Settle down...it was a genuine conversation and he didn't say Ray was gun but a good player that he would have liked to keep.kosifantutti23 wrote:So Brad Johnson thinks Farren Ray is a gun and Fiora's a dud. Good to get an unbiased opinion.

Maybe his legacy will be that he was a champ who will have played in excess of 350 games by the time he retires....Saints Premiers 2008 wrote:im sure noone really cares about what captain over-rated smiley pants has to say...kosifantutti23 wrote:So Brad Johnson thinks Farren Ray is a gun and Fiora's a dud. He has been a fantastic player over his career and if he played for St Kilda we would always be complaining about the lack of recognition he gets...

Either way, I'd take with a grain of salt whatever Brad Johnson says about one of his ex-teammates.
Please explain....

If the boot was on the other foot, and Fiora had gone to the Dogs (some might say he already has ) and you were a Dogs supporter and you met Robert Harvey on holiday and you asked him what he though of Fiora.Iceman234 wrote:Why?kosifantutti23 wrote:So he was damned with faint praise.fingers wrote: Settle down...it was a genuine conversation and he didn't say Ray was gun but a good player that he would have liked to keep.

I have worked with people who have gone to the opposition.
Some I have praised and still do, others I've canned.
Comes down to how you assess the assessor's credibility - fingers clearly assessed Johnno as pretty legit.

Well, without any of us knowing the terms of his contract, I would suggest that St Kilda would be required to pay out the contract AND it would be included in the TPP.Richter wrote:Pretty sure that is not the case. Yes, his payments count towards our total player payments, but I'm pretty sure that he can be delisted so that we could fit another player in (ala Carroll at MFC) if the club so desireth.FortiusQuoFidelius wrote:Fair dinkum... some of you guys dont really get it do you... No matter what you think of Fiora, he's a contracted player and you cant just dump him. THAT is common sense... anything else is just idiotic!
This of course would be a totally irresposible waste of money!

Yeah ok....This is a guy I sat with for about 3 hours, eating, drinking, chatting..with his family...but of course he's being a dick. All I know is that of all the people that have an opinion on this site - he's played with and against both guys in question....nobody else has.kosifantutti23 wrote:So he was damned with faint praise.fingers wrote: Settle down...it was a genuine conversation and he didn't say Ray was gun but a good player that he would have liked to keep.

You assess him as you see him.
I know Johnno and his "wife" Bubba and I reckon they're top blokes. Certainly far from full of s***.
Good on ya fingers.

depends if you want to pay him out. if the saints are at 100% oof the cap, they could not pay him out as it goes into the TPP.Richter wrote:Pretty sure that is not the case. well...they did at one time...until the club banned them.......the criticism on here caused one young player lots of heartache....and that comes from his mum......not me....there was a bit in the papers about it at the time.....
i actually know one of the players......but i have never discussed this site with him......be too ashamed to associate myself with it....not for my posts...mind you......but for the ones who regularly character assassinate their favorite whipping boys......fizz included.....

No his legacy will be similar to that of Robert Harvey's. Universally respected by everyone in football.Saints Premiers 2008 wrote:im sure noone really cares about what captain over-rated smiley pants has to say...kosifantutti23 wrote:So Brad Johnson thinks Farren Ray is a gun and Fiora's a dud. they could read on here or any other forum.....
No wonder their form is so up and down...mentally fragile..
Said it before and I will say it again, its a crock of shyte and if you beleive that our players would get upset at what they read on here you are as fragile as the so called players minds
Stinger get a flowering grip will ya you sound like a little Mummies boy, its no wonder that a players mum can get the heart strings going
The Fizz and others would NOT give a shyte what was said on here, no player at AFL level is soft they just play different roles.
At least the Fizz gets the best out of himself as Johnno has said in conversation, shyte we would have more than just the one flag if some of our so called super stars would follow his lead
I wont bag our players but I will take note when they are not putting in *cough* DAL SANTO, geez sorry where did that come from, I can still picture DAL copping a massive spray from the Hawks players after not chasing at all out of the center and allowing an easy goal in that final and yes it is still burning inside of me.
All credit to the Fizz I reckon for getting the best out of himself
Forget the past, Saints footy, One better in 2010
