So true. Some of these moral crusaders better not look to far into their own backyard because they may be surprised what they may find. I have said all along we shouldnt draft BC but only because of his age not other issues however it looks certain we will if he gets the ok form the AFL so lets all get on board and support BC and the club.

Beautifully said Con. Agree with you 100%. The guy is a quality player, there's no doubting that, and he has inflicted no harm upon anyone else other than himself. He appears to have the right attitude to overcome his addiction, so I say let's help him with that, and help him return to the star player he once was...

Well I thought the picture was actually quite satirical.
And I posted it as a warning of what might lie ahead.

And I am very surprised saint66au resorted to censorship.
I thought he had better judgement.
And better able to resist intimidation from other posters.
If he was to be consistent he would have to pull dozens of posts every day.



Two points.

I do have kids, and if they went off the rails - yes I would support them.
But that has nothing to do with a football club drafting a "mature" player with a history of drug abuse and other anti-social behaviour.
StKFC has no responsibility to Ben Cousins.

Secondly,
what message does it send out to our younger supporters that a serial offender like Cousins is to be welcomed onto our club with open arms.

- his drunkenness
- his dishonesty
- his lies
Is this the sort of culture you want for our club ?

Harvey has gone and leaves a MASSIVE hole in our midfield, and perhaps Benny is the only possible quick replacement option.

Sure, we'd all love a "no history" replacement, but where from, thin air???

Benny may also increase our membership, especially if he plays from round 1 and shows some form.
