Hudghton - a hamstring away from the end
Maguire - may never get back, been out for the best part of 2.5 years
S.Fisher - better value as a rebounding defender
Blake - yes but is also a utility back/tagging mid/ruck
Gilbert - towelled up by Hawthorn's 3rd forward - serious doubts over his defensive capabilities against decent forwards
R.Clarke - as for Sam Fish, except that he's not much chop as a KP back
Goddard - must play midfield for us to be a serious flag chance
Gwilt - still not convinced he is good enough as a back man (or anywhere else)
Allen - totally unproven at AFL level
Miles - ditto
Carroll is old, has little skill and is an absolute moron. Instead of constantly recruiting rejects to fill in if Max is injured, why don't we recruit someone who could take his spot for the next 10 years?
We should do that, but such a recruit is realistically 2-4 years away from a starting position. We need defensive cover now.
You're comments are valid, but what does Carroll do to address those concerns? He's a plodder with little talent and ignores team rules. He wouldn't be much better than any of the players I listed. We're not talking about an ageing star here, we're talking about an ageing hack.

How many more depth players do we need? We are linked with every has been in the league, and with good reason. Enough is enough!

He is only been invited to train with us and one would hope other players would be invited to train with us that have nominated for the PSD...

He hasn't actually signed anything and I just bloody hope the Club invites other players that have nominated in the PSD to train with us...

So the club can make decent decision on the best player to suit our Club that has nominated in the PSD

not a problem, its simply not good enough

when these players (the young core) came together they wanted to create a brotherhood of sorts...they believed they had the power to win the comp

a player like carroll is not helpful and will only cause garbage between a playing group

the man is a douche

I would think that Archie has nothing to do with any player the coaching staff decide on, and I for one would hope he keeps his nose out of that area...

Geeez the lynch mobs form quick around here.

If going off half-cocked was an Olympic sport we'd be dripping in gold.

Voice your opposition here by all means, but gee, give the club a spell on it.

Emailing the CEO is a waste of time. Ditto pretty much anyone else.

As much as we may hate it, they are the people in charge of making the call on Nathan Carroll and anyone else as they see fit.

And do you really think the CEO is going to intervene??

Gee, I thought you had more sense than that

Then again maybe not

I would sign Kosi to a ten year contract, if will keep that lunatic Carroll away from our club.

No problem if he wants to play for Sandy, but he should never be a Saint.

I'm all for individuality, but one look at him shows that he is not on the same planet. Not suitable for footy at the highest level, which is what we aspire to.

On that logic, let's sign Fiora for 5 years... as well as Rix. Both well groomed, fine, upstanding citizens.

The lid is off after Round 2! Enjoy the journey, coz you just don't know where we'll end up. Live for today and seize the moment.

So does Matthew Drain have a say in what players the coach wants??
