Post: # 664251Post i_luv_nick_riewoldt »

Pre-Season training will begin on the 17th November with a 3km time trial.

For anyone willing to go down to watch them!

The boys would want to be putting in over the break to come back firing on the 17th Nov so they'd be working well before then.

They are obliged to an 8 week break. I think you will find that most of them do off-season work anyway.

When you think about it, its not much of a break when they are required to keep up a certain level of fitness during that time.

8 weeks isn't bad But remember they work MOST weekends and even when not 'at work' some expect them to be ' switched ON' as footballers who will answer questions and sign autographs, or pose for photographs etc etc at ANY time of day or night......

You can defend them all you like, and I am sure it has its idiosyncrycies as a profession but Im sure its better than working in the real world.

True, eight weeks sounds like a big break but they "work" six-day weeks the rest of the year.

Still waiting for closure ... if you get my drift.

2 hrs a day x 6 days = 12 hrs a week. That's a day halfs work for most ppl

Who works 2 hours a day? Certainly not AFL footballers. They are at the club or elsewhere for 6-8 hours day. They get one day off a week and only do rehab after a game for 2-3 hours.

Eddy usually wins these trials... would be a smart bet.

I reckon Ray will finish high up the list... I'm going to take a punt and say that Godard, Hayes and X will be in the top 5 this year

I reckon it would be out of Eddy, Geary or Ray.
