brad green...
now there is a player i would take in a heartbeat.....he was supposed to be drafted by us the first time round...but for some reason i have never been able to understand ..we took that flower cadyn beetham....green's a champion....
'Another high-profile player who could also be on the move is Melbourne's Brad Green. The Demons' utility player remains undecided on his future, despite being offered a new three-year deal by Melbourne. Following a drawn-out saga over the length of a contract extension, Melbourne revised its initial two-year offer and agreed to a three years last week, but it is believed Green has not ruled out moving to another club."

Green is overrated....
He doesn't perform consistently,he'd be our new Kosi....
We'll end up with at least one player heading to the Saints during trade week,i just hope it's not a GOP with one sided skills who couldn't hit the side of a barn from 10 meteres ,with either foot......

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

He is a good footballer, but my concern is about his hardness, and his ability to play when the chips are down (usually a mental state of mind).... No doubting his skills though whatsoever, lovely left foot...stinger wrote:n1ck wrote:Wasnt aiming anything at you stinger.

Green should have won a brownlow if he adapted himself as much as some elite footballers do...
I remember Grant Thomas saying that he is a quality person and has great character and has load of talent...
But that means stuff all if you don't really put in the hard yards IMO...
Green could have been anything, he has so much natural ability, but to me his endeavour is lacking...
A waste of talent IMO...
If he had the same amount of endeavour, courage and fitness as Roo, Green could have been an absolute champion IMO..
Sadly IMO, he lacks in those areas and he would demand top dollar...
Yes a great player but at 27, would be demanding top dollar and IMO lacking the above qualities...

Green went up in my opinion this year. Undoubtedly a downhill skier in years past but really stood up as the Dees' best player in a shocking year.
Personally I think he'd be damn good value as the 3rd tall forward. He's a beautiful kick at goal & can take a solid grab.
If Melbourne are having a fire sale & we can get a reasonable deal done then I'd go for it.

Green will go to Brisbane with the other coloureds.....Brown and Black.

Saying Brad Green is soft just goes to show how little of you have seen him play. Glenn Archer he ain't, but he's always the first to put his body on the line to take a mark to save a goal, and he always, without exception, goes when it is his turn.
If you're interested in soft Dees players, Chris Johnson is all yours.

I don't believe he is soft, but I do believe he is lazy, has all the skills to be a champion, but he aint.Nasher wrote:Saying Brad Green is soft just goes to show how little of you have seen him play.
