Agree that X and Gwilt for their pick 4 would be a good deal for us and unlikely to happen.

True. But Gwilt has spent three years developing and established himself in the side at the end of last year. X, well he's injured a lot and is inconsistent, but could still be a very good player.
As Belfast said, you have to give up something to get something, but I think it's skewed in Port's favour if true.

yeh I know Solar. But there's no guarantee that pick 4 will be more of a gun than pcik 13 in a deep draft.

i like both x and gwilt as players and would be sorry to see them go.

x just hasn't ever had a decent break with injury.

gwilt could be quite a handy half back or winger, but i don't think he'll cut it as a forward, where he spent much of the latter part of the season.

we'd be trading away two ready-made regular senior players (x potentially a star) plus our first round pick for a kid who wouldn't be ready for a season or possibly two.

see what happens, but i would take it with a grain of salt as you hear all sorts of weird rumours flying around at this stage of the year.

i wouldn't go for it, but the club might have other ideas. who knows.

same guy would appear to ahve rung BOTH radio stations with variations on his theory- ON sen he said it WOULD be announced on evening newzs>>>>. ZIltch- hope he doesn;t get too many Grandfinal DVD's which appaear to be what BOTH stations are currently giving away as prizes.......................

id rather the pies trade, it gives us 2 good first rounders, with a higher chance of getting a gun,
then jsut one top 5, with the chance of getting a fiora.
