Rather get rid of Barker and pick up someone who has a clue about how a forward line is meant to function...

I believe more changes are afoot - coaching staff being completely revamped. Just hope that SOS stays!!

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

SOS would be the only one of the assistants who has earned his place this year.

I also think Simon Madden did a good job with the rucks..though not sure if he is still on the payroll.

I was speaking to a couple of the boys at the best and fairest night and asked them about john barker in particular and whether he would be at the club next year. They all said that he is very professional, has got a lot to offer and gets along really well with the boys...i wouldnt be surprised if he's there again next season

Why is that. Kosi is still no better in the ruck. Rix didnt play. McEvoy played one game without a hitout. I dont reckon any of us would know how any of the line coaches went but I am betting that Rl knows and he will make the correct decisions on who stays and goes unless of course they want to leave anyway.

I'd get along brilliantly with all players if made forward coach - but it doesn't mean I'd be able to perform my job well.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Does anyone else find strange the idea of John Barker teaching Nick Riewoldt how to play up forward?

Gee lost our midfield coach and need a replacement.

Does anyone know of a guy who knows what playing midfield is about.
A guy who has earned the respect of every footballer.
A guy who knows what gut running running and running is all about.
A guy who with a couple of Brownlows and Whitten medals to prove he knows what he is talking about.
A guy who can show how it is done, because he's been doing it for the last 21 years.

Has anyone heard of Robert Harvey

I personally want to thank Anthony for his contributions to the midfielders of the St Kilda Football Club and I wish him all the very best at North Melbourne for the years to come. :)

FORMER North Melbourne midfielder Anthony Rock is set to return to the club as an assistant coach.

Rock has resigned from his duties as an assistant coach at St Kilda where he was in charge of the side’s midfield and will join Dean Laidley’s staff for 2009.

St Kilda’s general manager of football operations Matthew Drain said Rock had been an important part of the St Kilda coaching staff for the past two years.

“Anthony joined the Saints at the end of 2006 and has played a pivotal role in the field development of our side,â€

Not a surprising revelation.

Difficult arena to work in. Very high pressured. High turnover rate.

Although going from Ross to Dean might be a bit of frying pan/fire scenario!!
