TISM - Greg ! The Stop Sign
Saw a little on this in the music trivia quiz, so did a search on youtube.
I think i saw it one drunken night many years ago on rage.
Can anyone name all the Saints in the clip ?
Any other trivia ?

Moved to the Saints forum...(wow, never thought I'd type that!)
FYI - that's the 1995 guernsey (edited ), so it must be from this list: http://afl.allthestats.com/teams/teamse ... &yrfm=1995 (although there might be a few on the clip who didn't play...)

I got that far, the second guy looks like a skinny Danny Frawley.ausfatcat wrote:peckett, dunno, wakelin, then rice maybe?
Savatage will know. He has a built-in facial recognition device for mid-90s players.
Rice played in Carlton's 1995 premiership team, so it isn't him.

TISM are die hard sainters.
There's a little known track called "Father and Son"
I.
My old man used to take me to the footy;
Now, it's me takes him.
Been barracking for the Saintas seasons on end -
Seasons cold and grim -
Every season we'd pretend that we were
The great pretenders,
And watch, in the rain, us getting done again
By the real contenders.
Hear the cry ring to the Moorabbin sky,
Nothing can stop it:
Winmar! Winmar to Lockett!
II.
Those Collingwood bastards did us by a point
The day mother died.
When they told dad he shook his head and said,
"Makes you wanna cry."
Winmar, you're a football genius, and, oh,
Let me tell you son,
Remember my old man 'cos he wasn't
Referring to mum.
You've got my heart when you've got the leather,
God's sake, don't drop it:
Winmar! Winmar to Lockett!
III.
My dad will be gone in ten seasons' time,
And, you know, they can
Build rockets that think, have prime time T.V.,
Napalm Vietnam -
So just for my dad they could give us the flag -
Who says they oughtn't?
It isn't a matter of life or death -
It's more important.
Oh, here comes Nicky! Tony's broken free!
Winmar to Lockett!

TISM were great supporters of the Saints.
They performed at the Save Our Saints Benefit Concert at the Palace on Wednesday 6 September 1995, along with Weddings Parties Anything, Cosmic Psychos, The Fauvres, Chris Wilson, Even and Rebeccas Empire.
A great night out for a great cause.
If you like TISM, they have now morphed into Root.

As Bono said - Justin Peckett, Chris Hemley, Shane Wakelin, and Josh Kitchen. Yep it would have been in 1995. Those were the days....
I spoke to Frankie about it when I saw him at a Big Day Out once. He said doing the clip was a bit of fun. He got to see TISM without their masks on and said they all look pretty normal, which is perhaps no surprise. One of them died recently.

I also remember hearing on radio a couple of years ago that Darryl featured on the TISM video clip.

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

...and my mates Paint Stripper, for all those underground 1990's Melbourne band fans. I bought a slab of Toohey's for SOS that night Yuck. The lengths I went to for our club. More trivia, Even played a show here in Adelaide the night of the '97 GF...I nearly cried when they played 'Oh Went the Saints...'.Bernard Shakey wrote:TISM were great supporters of the Saints.

Also, not saying Wiki is always 100% accurate but just a little food for thought.
So the lead singer was not a Saints fan, not that it really matters. In interviews about his book, Minack revealed he was a teacher, his father fought in WWII for the Germans and that he is fanatical about the Richmond AFL football club, which explains his compound stage moniker.
