I'd be tenative with McIntosh. Last year Laidley was touting him as the next Dean Cox, this year he's talking possible trade. McIntosh looked awful toward the end of this season. I'd want to know that he was physically and mentally fit to go before giving up quality in a trade for him. He could be a one year wonder.LTN16 wrote:Dean Laidley has said if the right offer comes up they will trade Hamish McIntosh.

No chance of getting either IMO, with King we can't afford to have another player who can only play ruck..., Prismall would be great but he is too much of a risk, like Maguire he is most valuable to the club he is already at...

If there are any doubts in either area, North would ONLY deal with Hawthorn. They owe them BIG TIME !!vacuous space wrote:I'd be tenative with McIntosh. McIntosh is a quality ruckman. Laidley made the mistake of rushing him back into the seniors in round 21, and thus McIntosh was not able to make a positive impact, as he wasn't match fit. When he is fit and firing, as he showed in 2007, he can be an extremely damaging ruckman - good in the hitouts and excellent around the ground. Definitely worth a first-round pick IMO.
The Saints are coming!

McIntosh and Harris for our second rounder, no more, if they don't take it, so be it...Batnoe wrote:it would have to tempt the saints
Harris and Mcintosh and their 2nd round pick for
Our 1st and second pick
Who would have thought we would have gotten Schneider and Dempster for our second rounder last year...

Of the players we know are definitely looking for new homes, these are the ones I'd be looking at.
Daniel Harris and Farren Rey, both good to quality midfielders, will probably only cost a second round draft pick.
Would prefer Harris ahead of Rey as he is a harder at it player and a bit more consistent.
Advantages to picking them up, more midfield depth, will make it more difficult for opposition to tag our gun players as either are good enough to create a bit of havoc if not given a reasonable amount od respect.
Marc Seaby and Robbie Warnock, mobile ruck forward. Give us the ability to leave another tall in the forward line at all times rotating with King off the bench and Kosi at full forward.
Could supply us with an extra 20 to 30 goals for the season.
Seaby again would probably cost a second round draft choice, Warnock maybe a bit more.
Most importantly, all 4 are on the right side of 25 and could provide 100 plus games to the club.
Also they wouldn't cost us much and improve the depth of the list, giving us a few more options.
Wouldn't trade our number 1 pick at this stage.
But as the week unfolds, more rumours, more possibilities and a lot more bull.
