it seems armitage for pick 19 is getting closer and closer to becoming reality with both clubs negotiating possibilities as the exchange period nears.

as i said, i know people who work at the club, and i work in the media. and i hear of whispers circulating. There are many deals that are arranged that never happen that the public never hear about. Like daniel wells to the dees for pick 4 last yr (they got cale morton)..was agreed both parties, however steve harris, their ceo at the time said no, and dees backed out during the week.

another one, cooney to adelaide after his first season, for the crows first pick that year...was very very close to happening

atm, lovett looks like he wil head to sydney
farren ray to either dockers/demons
cousins- draft
kerr- likely to stay an eagle
warnock- carlton
o'keefe- carlton or collingwood for suitable trade, otherwise may well stay in sydney
and armitage to the dees for pick 19

buy low, sell high

draft picks are at a premium this year, so we should sell them. we can top up and go very close with a Hamill replacement, a good ruck would help, and two quick mids - it's all we need.

Hamill - C jones, O Keefe
Mids: Harris, Kerr wouldda been nice, Cousins, Swallow, Prismall
Ruck: Macintosh, Warnock

C jones is the oldest there, at 27, apart, of course from Cousins.

people think trading for players and think Monkhorst, Francis, Brian Wilson etc
But look at Dempster and Schneider this year. Look at Gram.
As long as you draft youngish, we get quality players NOW WHEN WE NEED THEM, and we still get the 150 games from them to take us past the GC17 West Sydney raids on youth.

We should have at least 7 or 8 players on the trade table . Including the Clarkes , Kosi , DS , Mcguire , and others . Get interest in St Kilda at trade week . Who knows what might come up . No-one has to be traded if it doesn't suit .
