The thread discussing the alleged incident at a hotel over the weekend has been removed at the request of the Club

They are aware of the issue and have it in hand

OK..Ive been asked to remove the second thread as well..and after consideration Im going to.

I should point out that Ive been ASKED to remove these threads, not demanded. If you are going to heap scorn and abuse on anyone, heap it on me not the Club. I'm making a judgement call, however if other mods think it should stay and I'm outnumbered it will be re-instated.

Just for the record, it is the Club's opinion that the incident as reported originally here has been VERY much exaggerated, hence the request for its removal. They also, like me, fail to see why some fans cant be on the same page as the CLub on these matters. Running here to post such rumours, IMHO is akin to Today Tonight's obsession with being judge, jury and executioner. "In the public interest" is a very very overused and abused phrase I reckon

Anyway, its going. As I said..blame me not the Club

Oh..but before I'm called a Club lacky by all you anti-establishment types out there, there have been several instances in the past where Mods have refused or chose not to supply information on this site for privacy reasons. Those reasons were totally respected by the Club.

Saint66au, I'm willing to accept your decision without the need for assurances. Your posting record over the 18 months I've been an active member tells me you think long and hard about issues and whilst I may not always agree with your pov I've always found your 'reasoning' to be logical and clear.

Let me say off the bat, I'm not in total disagreeance with the Mods either.

I don't like to see general discussion removed, that is all. Incident or no incident, people should be able to pass comment on the rumour, if only to shoot it down.

But I bow to the wisdom of those higher up the chain than I.

The originally poster should have contacted the club with their report and concerns. Not posted on here for a media frenzy to build it up out of all proportions.

If the club was foremost that's what would have been done.

I agree with this, the muck raking in the first place should have been removed, but our ability to discuss a potential incident and its repercussions has also been removed, where it should not have been.

A St Kilda supporter saying it's probably not such a great idea to come running here and post on incidents involving our players.

100% that post should've been removed, as should all that have no media reports to back them up.

But on the other hand... I must admit I am having a laugh at the clowns who were bitching and moaning about how Saint Central was "censored" when Saintsational is now doing it (for the right reasons, but amusing nonetheless

For what it's worth, I don't trust our club one bit these days.

When was the last time something that came from the club in any way, shape or form turned out to be true and honest?

Let's be honest here, the club is full of it. They would ask that this thread be removed so they can spin it how they want.

I'm not big on 'supporters' airing dirty laundry about our own on a public forum, but I don't have a lot of time for the club turning around now and saying they "fail to see why some fans cant be on the same page as the CLub on these matters".

We don't ever know what page the club is actually on.

How far away is Hamill? What about Ball? Just a hammy strain? Roo didnt' hurt his knee pre-season?

etc. etc. etc.

This is the only place we can get anything that even vaguely resembles the truth about the club these days - and now that are trying to 'censor' this too??

Not good.

If there were legal ramifications, yes...Ive already taken one post down in the last week because of that

Otherwise? Well, go back and read what I wrote..especally the bit AT THE REQUEST OF THE CLUB...I'm yet to recieve calls from any of the other 15 Clubs asking for threads to be removed..will worry about that one in the very unlikely event it happens

Last time I looked this place was called SAINTsational...not "all16Clubs-Sational" ..let the other 15 Clubs sort out their own dirty laundry eh?
