Saints gain: Higgins and pick 14
Dogs gain: Kosi and our 2nd rounder

They get a forward, we get another midfeilder and another first round selection. Would they go for that?

He isnt a crows supporter... I think Kosi is worth keeping but maybe Matt Maguire- would rather him at the dogs than the Blues

Nah, I believe we can get better value than that IMO...

Both Dal Santo and Kosi could probably fetch and equal or slightly lesser player and a 2nd rounder, again IMO...

I would be looking at something like Kosi for Boyle and a 2nd rounder, Dal for Reilly and a 2nd rounder, maybe either of them and a 3rd rounder for Adam Campbell and a 1st rounder...

Kosi isn't going anywhere .... fact.

BUT, if by some crazy chance Kosi requested a trade and the dogs were interested ..... that would be a great trade for us - Higgins is a deadset gun plus a first rounder. The Dogs would never even entertain that trade.

Draft Michael Hurley at #4

Draft Chris Yarran/Sam Blease/best midfielder at #13

Draft mids/defensive small with 4th rounder.

Our mids are set for 5-10 years (add Rich, Blease, Zaharakis to the existing mix)

Add the best key position player in the draft (Hurley) who can play any KP very well (can replace Max or Goose or be partner in crime with Roo)

All for the cost of two underperforming & overpaid players.

Only problem is getting Freo & Port to go for it!

We give that to Port Adelaide who give us Kane Cornes
We then give Cornes to Sydney for Gwilt
Sydney then swap Cornes for a second round pick.

If we can get picks 3 and 4 for any players other than Roo, BJ and Chips, i'd take them.

These blokes are our only "untouchables" when it comes to trade week.

Kosi can not be traded. We have no one to replace him. M Gardiner is still a big risk and might not be there in '09, Rix is the worst player on an AFL list, Allen didn't look like having any impact and McEvoy is at least 2 years away.

I'd love Higgins and pick 14, but the Dogs would want Maguire, Kosi and pick 29 for them and we can't make that sacrifice.

If someone offered a top 4 pick for Kosi, I'd take it. Then you take the punt on McEvoy.

Trade week will be full of fringe for fringe trades. Perhaps fringe for DP upgrades or late picks. No big names will go.
