Why can't we just accept it for what is was - a wonderful tribute to perhaps the greatest Saint of all time. Plugger why don't you think of Rob Harvey instead of your own sniping selfish efforts - I am positive he would have wanted those saints up on stage with him to share the special moment.plugger66 wrote:That was a fantastic tribute but please can the next legends of the club be 22 players who win us a flag.

I thought it was good but the chick sining "Oh when the saints" was cringeworthy. Sorry if that makes me a not-true sainter or something but I would've preferred that to stay instrumental.
It was the tribute I never got to see. Unfortunately, missing the prelim and having the tape I got my housemate to make not work out, I didn't seehis send off but that was - WOW!
I seriously thought I was going to cry for a minute but I still don't think it has hit me yet. It still doesn't feel like he's retired to me. Maybe I'm in denial.
Danielle was MAGNIFICENT, as she always is. It is so great to see Harvs with a woman like her. And the Great Man himself was as usual....humble, magnificent and just the envy of everyone in the place.
Seeing how much it all meant to him - and to the playing group... its good to see.
I dont' really care about our crappy history and our 26 wooden spoons - I don't care if we never win another flag again, opposition supporters and Saint supporters can dig at me all they like, but at the end of the day, I'm so bloody proud to be a sainter because of this man.
I feel priveleged that I got to see ihm play and follow his career for so long and that means more to me than any premiership ever could.
(But I still want a premiership)
Harvs wouldn't want us to wallow in his departure so chins up everyone, let's look to our future and let's continue to enjoy SUPPORTING this MAGNIFICENT club.

Thought Voss was very good, especially considering he had no prompts.
The video tribute was again very emotional, fantastic.
Seeing Jack Barker with Danielle was really quite beautiful. The interview was done well by Robert and Danielle but some of Stephen's questions were a little boring and repetitive.
Would love to listen to Harvey's words again. "Training form is playing form."
We have got to keep him on as a coach.

Fantastic tribute.
I and the people I was with thought Michael Voss spoke very well, seemingly from memory. The line of people involved with Harves...John Beveridge, Dennis Campbell, Danny Frawley, Stewart Leowe, Nathan Burke and Jack Barker....amazing.
The only improvement would be the musical accompaniment. The sax was too loud and drowned out the announcements.
Fitting tribute to a legend of the game. Absolute legend.
"Ross will have to lock the gates" - Danielle Harvey, on Robert going to preseason training!

Plugger just shut up. You must lead a very sad life to get a kick out of acting like a smart arse, know it all prick on an internet football forum 8 hours per day.
If you must continue with you crap posting, at least stay out of threads dedicated to a retiring legend of our football club and stick to defending your mates Andy and Adrian.

Great speech Michael Voss. Emphasised the saying "It takes one to know one" Both are champs and legends of the game. I would have none other than Voss to pay his respects to the great man. It was a beautiful moment and one im sure Harvey will never forget.
A great tribute overall, got the eyes teary once again. Also the first time i'd seen the boys in the rooms afterwards.
