Lenny on Hodge no worse than Campbell on Roo

Lenny slightly bumped a visibly injured Hodge.

Campbell cannoned into a limping Riewoldt.

We accepted and moved on. The Hawks fans went ballistic every time Lenny went near the ball.

Fast becoming one of my most hated clubs and I reckon the feralness of their supporters can just about match any team.

Sorry if this has already been discussed. I couldn't see a thread title that seemed linked.

lol just seen it on Ch 9 the way the Hawks crowd were going off at Lenny I thought he must of flattened him. It was good to see King remonstrate with Campbell after he knocked Roo off his feet though.

totally agree.

I thought it was quite amusing at the game seeing the hawks fan get on their high horse, even though one of their players did a worse thing, around 5 minutes before hand.

Hawthorn supporters have no idea I have discovered. Lenny gave Hodge a little bump who wouldn't have in the situation? Hodge would have done the same thing. The booing for the entire game was unnecessary the bump is a part of the game or in Lenny's case the 'nudge' is a part of the game.

None of us could work out what Lenny had done that was so dastardly that their supporters felt reason to annoint Hodge with sainthood (if you pardon the pun) evertime he went near the ball.
As for the Hawk supporters more than one St Kilda fan walking back to the railway station muttered they had more respect for Collingwood supporters and I concur.

Apparently the Hawks fans were screaming abuse at Lenny whenever he went to the bench.

He was also spat at by Hawks fans a couple of times.

Should have cleaned him up. One 50 for Hodge off the rest of the game. I'd take it. And before you bark, I didn't bitch about Roos treatment from the Lions...you're on the field....fair game.
